The host was pleasant and the downstairs decor was nice. Breakfast was good.

To be improved

The lighting the room was rather dim and, once it was dark outside, it wasn’t easy to write my diary by the available light. The reviews mentioned either a garden or Mountain View. We had neither…we had a view of the bins around the back. There was decent WiFi downstairs, but none at all in our room. Our biggest problem was our evening meal on arrival. I chose the octopus which was well cooked and tasty, but the portion was small and came with some sauce but no vegetables, potatoes or anything. For €28, I was expecting better. My wife chose the cod which she really disliked. I tried it too and came to the same conclusion. It was salty with an unpleasant fibrous texture. Again, there were no vegetables. The 3 chocolate mousse was pretty good, so no complaints there. With a drink each, the bill came to €67 which was terrible value for money. I had read the reviews which described a menu cerrado. essentially a menu del dia. This was not available and is clearly not offered, so this situation has clearly changed recently.The following evening, we dined at the restaurant on Plataforma Road which was very much better and good value for money.

We especially enjoyed the location (and the room view), the mattress, the good wave of people and the superb food.

To be improved

The room was warm, and there were no coffee-machine, bidet, and hairdryer (as instead indicated in the room description on booking).
