“A great place to stay if you are on the Camino passing through Manzanares.”

This is a classic Spanish property: wonderful, dark-wood panelling and furniture. The room was charming with nice antiques and a large bathroom. In the summer there is an outdoor pool.

“Cool stay around the mountains”

The Hotel Rutal La Pedriza Original is located inside a residencial area in Manzanares el Real, which is close to Puerto de Navacerrada in the mountains to ski or just admire the view, forest or snow if applies. Madrid is also not that far away. Room with a nice area, good wifi and had breakfast given every day of our stay. Car parking inside the hotel area.

To be improved

Shower - low water pressure. Unfortunately, we lost a small football the day before we departure and when we arrived in the room that day, the door was locked, but still it could be opened.

Staff was very accommodating, arriving promptly to check us in even though we had forgotten to call ahead to let them know when we would be arriving. Air conditioning worked well. Wi-Fi worked well. Easy parking on-site. Very quiet. The location is entirely residential and it's a 10-minute walk to the lively town center.

To be improved

The bathroom was a bit dark. Water pressure was a bit low. It's a rural hotel, so don't expect an elevator.
