Staff are very supportive, caring and willing to assist.
Unique location with a great view, not far from the harbor and restaurants.
A beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
Large, high-ceiling rooms with comfy beds.
Good value for a unique historical property.
Vending machine available, but limited dining options.
“The most peaceful & relaxing holiday in a beautiful, unspoilt place.”
Location was stunning & very peaceful. Staff were very friendly & helpful.
Evening meals. No kettle or cups/mugs in the bedroom so we could make a drink. Water not freely available apart from at breakfast. Restriction on number of things we could request for breakfast.
“Welcoming, warm and wonderful.”
The property was wonderfully characterful. Alcove and walls were full of old artefacts and paintings. It had been a plantation in the past but water shortages have changed that. They grow as much fruit as they can for guests. I especially enjoyed the company of the cats and chickens at breakfast
The drive from the road to the property could do with some work, and things are a bit shabby. I like that. It’s characterful. There’s a bit of a walk over rough ground from the car park to the reception, however, the staff are lovely and will help if you have any problems.
“Unique hotel nestled in an orange grove.”
This was our third visit to Hotel Rural Las Longueras. We love the orignal, historic character of the hotel, the friendly atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings.
Some of the rooms are in need of renovation soon.
“Exceptional”
“Excellent situation and charming people, this hotel is so very nearly glorious but uncomfortable beds are a deal breaker”
We last stayed here in 2018. The location is mainly what drew us back, in the green valley of Agaete. The pool area is comfortable, lovely to lie on the loungers under the orange trees with the scent of blossom. The staff are charming. The water is hot, the room (2) large and airy. The restaurants just down the road in Puerto de las Nieves are very good, delicious food and not expensive, we went down each evening.
The shower slider was broken. The loo wasn’t fixed to the floor so that when I reached sideways to get the loo roll it tipped! Terrible thin loo roll 😬. The mattresses were very hard, I was fine but my husband couldn’t sleep and was very stiff each morning despite the hotel kindly putting a quilt on top of the mattress. This is what made us leave two days early. The breakfasts, that previously had been a glorious buffet were presented as a not terribly clear list on a piece of paper tick box. We didn’t discover until the second last day that there was Spanish Serrano ham available, the ham listed that we tried on day one was ‘plastic’ reconstituted.
