I was accepted by the hotel and received a confirmation email. However, the hotel was closed up when I arrived at 11pm. I rang the night bell several times. There was no answer. I did not stay and hope I was not charged

“A very good base for a stop-over”

We chose this hotel as a stop-off on our way to Zafra so did not really expect much. However, it's a lovely little hotel in an old building on a side street. There is plenty of free parking on the street and on all the surrounding streets as it's a very quiet little town. Check-in was very friendly with Estefani who also works at the family bar/restaurant across the road on the corner where we had a good breakfast the following morning. The restaurant unfortunately was not open on the evening we arrived (Sunday) but the menu looked good. We opted to eat at a restaurant down the road called Tik Tak (or Tiki Taki). They served excellent food. There are also a couple of other bar/cafeterias in the town. The room was small and basic but had a comfortable bed and pillows (despite being bolster pillows) and very good aircon, which really was a blessing! There was also a good bathroom/shower. The hotel was very peaceful and we would definitely stay there again if we were passing that way and needed a base for the night.

“Great place, as long as you can find someone to check you in”

Front desk staffing- they were never there! I had to wait to check in, and an employee came in with another guest, and I was able to do so. (Thank you other guest) Upon leaving for dinner later that evening, and then returning, no one at the desk; leaving for breakfast the next morning, returning from breakfast, and then checking out of the hotel, no one at the desk - I just left the key card and departed.

“Perfect for what I needed.”

The location was great, nice hotel, comfortable room.

To be improved

No private parking. Had to park my motorcycle in the street which I normally try to avoid. However, it’s a quiet street and there were no issues. No restaurant on site, but the bar 20 metres away is owned by the same person and the food there was good.
