“Nothing. · Cons: Be wary of this establishment ! I arrived at the hotel and the receptionist made me check in and after that she said I had to sleep in a different building. She said it would be cheaper and proceeded to give me an excuse and say I had to go in this building across the road because another pilgrim had to stay an extra day. I initially thought it was going to be separate rooms of the same hotel but it turned out they shipped me across the road to a one star establishment. A single room with no bathroom despite me having booked a double with services. The room was in no way shape or form comparable to the original booking. I feel this to be a very dishonest behaviour as the hotel had clearly overbooked under the promise of a bed in the main hotel but in the knowledge they could overspill to this other substandard establishment. The hotels and hostels on the Camino pilgrimage get very full in spring, that’s why I booked 6 months ahead. This commerce that looks to entice guests to one property only to ship them to a substandard facility is false advertising at best and taking advantage of weary pilgrims that will accept any alternative arrangement because everywhere is full.”

The room i was put in was very new. It was clean and comfortable.

At check in, the woman at the desk was rude and demeaning to another customer. She belittled the customer for not speaking Spanish, she told the customer that she had not booked, despite having the customer's passport and being shown the email confirmation she failed to look carefully for the customer's name. Another guest had to find the booking. There was no apology, just continual maltreatment of the guest. There were also other guests who had checked in being told to sit and wait. It was an awful experience. Also, my room was in a completely different building. I had to carry my luggage about 400m down the road.

The room itself was fine although there was no shower gel in the dispenser in the shower and the tea cups were ridiculously small.

To be improved

In a word, the reception service. I arrived with a friend after walking nearly 26km on the Camino to be met with a rude and hostile woman on reception. She kept insisting that my booking was for the previous day even though I had the email from Booking.com showing the booking for the correct day, which she dismissed. I had given her my passport but she barely glanced at it and I think she was looking at the wrong name on her bookings list from the start. I genuinely think that if my friend didn't have good Spanish, I'd never have been able to check in, and God knows where I would have slept that night. This lady was not backing down. Even after my friend managed to point put my name on the list for that day, she refused to acknowledge her mistake. She was also really rude to a Brazilian couple who were trying to check in and who, like me, didn't speak much Spanish and were also exhausted from a long day of walking. It was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, and I'm well travelled. The hotel also has no laundry facilities even though they are listed on Booking.com
