“Very strange , I booked a Superior Room to ensure I had a view of the Mountains. When I arrived Ivwas shown to a very dark small room with a spiral staircase to the bedroom, awful. I said I had booked a Superior Room to be told the Hotel was full . Then I was offered a different room , a slight improvement but not what I booked . I said no & then I was offered the room I had booked & paid for . The woman said the rooms are allocated on the amount of people to the room , I was a Solo traveller prepared to pay a premium for the right room . This is normally how rooms in Hotels are allocated , the place is good to stay in , but ensure you get the room , you booked and paid for . Some of the rooms are small and dark.”

Great breakfast and the lady serving us was lovely, particularly since she’d only had about 3 hrs sleep after the carnival the previous night 😂. Excellent location.

To be improved

Finding a spiral staircase leading to the bedroom was not my favourite thing, having just walked 15 miles and over 1500m of elevation gain carrying big packs!!
