Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
The two hot tubs and quiet atmosphere were highlighted positively.
Staff were described as lovely and accommodating in several reviews.
Mixed feelings; some felt it was expensive given the quality.
Location is a bit hilly; however, it is close to the beach and strip.
The experience was generally disappointing with specific highlights noted.
Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including sewerage smells and pests.
“The ice bath on a hill”
As a young college student, I've been to my fare share of budget holidays, but this one was not worth the budget price at all. I'd like to preface that I didn't pick this hotel, nor did my research prior to booking. Good points - The staff were lovely. Accommodating when it came to booking taxis, letting us use the luggage room, fixing broken key-cards. - The view from the balcony (if facing the beach) was great. - It was relatively quiet in October. - The two hot tubs on the roof were a great addition and honestly a key point in what made the stay enjoyable. - Not relatively far from the start of the strip. Maybe 10-15 minutes. The hill climb makes it worse though. Bad points - The pool isn't heated at all. It's like an ice-plunge. It doesn't help that barely any sunlight gets in to the pool area either as there's apartment blocks neighboring. - Hotel is at the top of a hill. If you're not able-bodied, enjoy! - Room was poor. Ours always stunk of sewerage. Bathroom tiles looked like they had previous water damage. Exposed holes in the ceiling. TV had no options. We luckily got a corner room with a great balcony view, but still wasn't worth it. - Can't eat your own snacks inside the restaurant area. - Charged something like 2 euro for a cup of ice. - The elevators are mini saunas. - Spotted a silverfish in the room (could be due to open windows though). Overall would never come back. This is only ideal for people who use the hotel to sleep, or really want a hot-tub and beach view experience.
“Disappointing and not worth the money”
Unfortunately, our stay was not great. The room was very basic, rundown, and not particularly clean – we even found hair in the bed. The bathroom was in poor condition with black grouting, and there was no hand soap provided. For a family of four, we were only given two towels, and each of us had just one tiny pillow with no extras available. The walls were paper thin, and we could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was also a letdown – everyone was sat on plastic chairs, which felt cheap given the price we paid. The food was cold, and the staff didn’t bother clearing tables between guests. Overall, very disappointing and definitely not worth the money.
“Excellent”
Amazing experience from start to finish, the hotel staff were so friendly our room was clean and tidy with cleaning done everyday, we ate at the pool bar, the food was fresh and hot, everything was spotlessly clean, we didn’t eat at the restaurant , we were room only and liked to try different food each day, the views from the rooftop are absolutely incredible, everything is within a short walking distance,I was going to change hotels just before we flew out due to the reviews I am so glad we didn’t we had the most amazing time and can’t wait to go back there.
“Superb”
Superb location, Superb staff. After reading many reviews I was a bit bubiouse, how wrong was to take notice of bad reviews,. Firstly, we was treated at reception by Irma, brilliant lady, friendly and informative, Breakfast was Superb, if you can't find anything you like it is beyond me. Housekeeping, brilliant, they kept the room very clean, thankyou. I will definitely return, I thankyou all.
“Good time”
Just got back from Salou stayed in Pierre and vacancies sunset hotel. Would definitely recommend for a 3 star hotel it is clean and they come in and clean everyday fresh towels bedding toilet roll etc. the pool area was great for the amount of people there also no fighting to get sun loungers. Only downfall was the entertainment 1 night they had something on for an hour that was it and the food in the hotel is expensive and not great where as you can nip over to Britanna across from the hotel and get breakfast dinner tea , for a fraction of the hotel price. There’s lots to do in Salou especially for children.
“Ew”
Where do I even start, arrived at the hotel on the 22nd of September and it had been nothing but an absolute shambles. We checked in and went up to our room, the receptionist said she gave me the nicest room with the view of the sea and pool. Walked in and nothing but buildings blocking the views. Secondly, the room was absolutely stinking. The bed sheets were stained, hair was found in the bed, in the toilet. The grout around the shower was literally black, the floor boards were peeling off, the tv was dusty as hell, the walls were stained with god knows what and the curtains were also dirty. We asked to change rooms and so we did, next one was exactly the same. We went down to speak to the manager but he was not helpful whatsoever. He offered us free drinks or we could leave. What kind of a manager talks to their guests with such utter disrespect. This made us feel very unsafe. House keeping came to clean the room but get only changed the bed sheets? 3 girls in their mid 20s came to relax for a few days and we had nothing but a patronising lump called Alex Croft. Bloke needs a serious wake up call. We accepted our fate & got ready and left the hotel as we felt completely unsafe within the hotel. We come back for an early night and all night we could hear was 18 year olds screaming in the corridor. We then got changed to a different room which was slightly better. I understand you get what you paid for, but cleanliness is meant to be at its highest standard no matter where you are. I honestly wish I read the reviews before booking as it only shows you the good ones at the beginning, if you keep scrolling you get to the bad reviews. How a hotel is still running with so many negative reviews baffles me to be honest. Do not waste your money in this place, you’ll get a dirty room, a disrespectful manager and most likely bed bugs as well. We ended up leaving 3 days early because of feeling very vulnerable and not respected at all.
