“Sleeping in a Sauna”
Checkin was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, March is still considered winter which means the Hotel has heating on all the rooms permanently on. This means even with your door open, because of the direction of the hotel, you get no cold air coming in. Reception cannot do anything about it. I kid you not, when I say the rooms are hot, we're talking min 28 degrees Celsius. It's unbearable. On both nights I was up at 5:15am unable to take it anymore. 11am check out was not needed, we were gone by 9am. If you stay. Make sure you buy lots of water, think Swedish sauna, dehydration is a real threat. We felt very sorry for our little dog in this dog friendly hotel. It is a simple fix but a hotel in which you cannot sleep is misleading marketing.

Disappointing Experience – Lack of Flexibility and Poor Communication I booked Hotel Salymar in Cádiz with high expectations, but my experience was disappointing. Due to a booking date error (made for the wrong night), I attempted to correct or cancel the reservation within 24 hours. Unfortunately, the hotel showed no flexibility and refused to modify or cancel without charging a fee, even though the room was not occupied and the request was made well in advance of check-in. Communication with the staff was rigid and unhelpful, focusing more on enforcing the fee than finding a customer-friendly solution. For a hotel that presents itself as service-oriented, this approach is very disappointing. Unfortunately, my overall experience was negative, and I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who value flexibility and customer support.

Don't book this hotel through Booking. They use a third party and you pay more (+50%. if direct hotel) , non refundable and no breakfast (direct hotel all is included) At the hotel, no help whatsoever. Tried to get at least the breakfast but mgr refused.
“Not even near the expectations”
Honestly, I felt cheated by this hotel. I’ll start by the fact that they advertise “parking available at location” which is a lie, since the hotel is at a pedestrian street and cars aren’t allowed to stay (just to unload), the “parking” is several blocks away. The entire aesthetic feels cheap, the carpet looks stained and dirty in the hallways. The staff (almost everyone we spoke to) was rude, not helpful at all, and pretty much just treated every problem as “not the hotels fault, and we should be thankful because it could be worse” They gave us a room with two single beds and refused to change it to a queen because “the didn’t know we asked for it” even after confronted with the reservations clearly stating the selection for the queen bed. Awful hotel, don’t wish this experience on anyone. It should be rated as two stars at the very best.

Good localised. Nice and clean room. Good facilities lovely price and very friendly service. Happy to help and explain what ever you ask. Breakfast... very Spanish light and fresh. For few sunny days perfect!
“Beware the church”
While the hotel was central and the balcony of the room seemed a good idea the position of the hotel opposite the Church made for a very wakeful night. The bells rang every quarter hour! Aside from that and the fact the so called orange juice was orange water, the stay of three days was OK. It is walking distance from both train stations and there are good bars in the immediate vicinity. Oh, the bed is very comfortable.
