“Cheapest Menu of the day I have ever encountered”
We stayed here overnight as it was close to the airport and cheap, but the bonus was the cafe/restaurant attached to it. So cheap! From memory I think it was 1 Euro for a coffee or wine and 1.5 for a Spanish brandy. Sadly we did not have time to sample the menu of the day, which I have attached a photo of-I defy anyone to find a cheaper one! We managed to park but I would not say it was full of empty spaces and this was low season.
“Just right and great service - ideal para dormir”
Due to a lengthy delay to our flight, we arrived just after 3am and the receptionist had kindly waited up to assist us in checking in. Due to the time of night, some of the formalities were left until the morning to complete, to ensure we quickly got to our room. Very clean, tiny bathtub, really enough to only shower but nice ensuite room in the Spanish style. Comfortable beds and nice view from the balcony over the main entrance of the hotel, to observe the sleepy town's activities, such as a procession on one of the days we were there. Parking is a little difficult due to the narrow streets of Elda but always found parking close to the hotel. Staff very courteous and willing to answer questions. WIFI pleasantly excellent fast connection and free. Did not try the breakfast so could not rate, due to other business to attend to. Would need Sat-nav to locate hotel. Functional and appropriate for the price paid for a comfortable sleep in a clean and lovely room. Additionally, the staff are really nice and would highly recommend. Will be returning too.
“Basic but was ideal”
I had to be in Alicante area for some business and selected Elda as a base. It was a small hotel, and I had a small single room - I called it the cell. It was small but was en-suite and was all I needed. Wifi Was good. Parking in the street was difficult at times but I always got a space. Small cafe round the back for coffee etc. The area is very Spanish so not suitable for holidaymakers. I needed my sat-nav to find the place as Elda is full of narrow streets.
“Hotel Santa Ana - Good option for Elda”
The first hotel we checked out in Elda was The Marriot, but this was a bit out of our price league, but they kindly directed us to “Hotel Santa Ana” and even gave us a map of Elda to help us find it (So Thumbs up for The Elda Marriot) Located very close to the old castle, The Hotel Santa Ana is a nice hotel in a good central location. A Twin Bedded, en-suite room with balcony cost a very reasonable 38 Euro (I think they gave us a Peregrino discount) The hotel was very clean, had a nice reception area with friendly staff and i have no hesitation to recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Elda. Just around the corner there is The Restaurant Santa Ana which i believe is run by the same people, we didn’t get quite as good a reception here and the advertised Menu del Dais wasn’t available, but we did pop in for a nice glass of wine when returning to the hotel
“Santa Ana Hotel”
We visited on 15th Sep 2012 and the hotel seemed nearly empty. Even so we were put into a room that left a lot to desire even for a 1 star hotel. The only window looked out into a dirty horrible inner space totally overlooked by other bedrooms etc. The sofa bed was dirty with bits all over it (had to sit on the main bed) The quilts on the 2 single beds were filthy and looked like they had never been washed. The shower was a trickle and therefore useless and in the kitchen area the power sockets had no cover plate on them with fridge plugged in VERY dangerous. Will not be using this hotel ever again. 38 euros per night for room was a waste wish we had slept in the car.
