“Terrible”

The best

They first gave us room 307, the room was dirty and the sheets were not fithy, stained. They changed our room and gave us room 504, the renovated room, but was full of dust. The bathroom had mold. By this time, it was already 22h00, we had paid for the room, we slept and left at 06h00 the next day. No was available to check out. We realized, that only 2 rooms were occupied in the whole hotel. Worst experience and do not recommend this hotel, if you are visiting Avila.

“i don't know if there was anything that is worth to mention as a good thing. heating worked and there was hot water in the bath · Cons: firstly, i ordered a double bed. after arriving, the staff couldn't find my booking, then charged me the money and told me that they have no double bed and i will have to use single one. they could tell me earlier. in the bathroom, there was used sachet of shower gel, which means, it was not cleaned. there were shaved hair in the bathroom and hair on the beds. i assume the bed sheets were canged, but there were quite lot of hair on the bed.”

“Cheap lodging in avila”

The best

I stayed hear with a group of 10 persons. The owners, helped me good, but the hotel itself is a bit outdated. I have been traveling through spain for almost 30 years, and this hotel is like hotels were 20-25 years agoo,... Very little updating. The biggest problem is that the sound insolation is not so good. Tappas in the bar are good.

“cheap but comfortable”

the hotel is not in the center, but no so far from the walls of the city. It's quite clean and comfortable,also if the rooms are a little bit small. It's apparently a familly ownership hotel, don't expect luxury, etc.. anyway, the people at the reception as well the waiters are reallly kind and will make all they can for let your stay comfortable.I got a groupon offer and the price/quality ratio was extremely good...obviously, need to be verified in nomal conditions..

“A comfortable luxury hotel that goes above and beyond”

The best

This a great little luxury hotel complete with a great pool, bar, spa and restaurant overlooking Rio centro from the quaint Santa Teresa neighborhood. I'm not sure I'd stay here for my entire visit to Rio, because of the hassle of going up and down the hills of Santa Teresa, but it was a great way to end our stay for a night or two. Huge thanks go to Erik at the reception for helping us put together a bit of an emergency stay, and arranging to hold our bags for the day after we had checked out, and even more importantly...an evening shower at the spa prior to our flight back to NYC, and of course a private car service to GIG. Everyone speaks excellent english which was welcome after many days of sign language and pictionary with taxi drivers :-) Loved it.
