Hotel Saratoga

We enjoyed a week in the Saratoga Hotel Palma. The fifth floor room was comfortable, not very large, and had a small balcony looking over a swimming pool. It was comfortable with an efficient bathroom. Why do hotels only supply one armchair when clearly it is not solely a business hotel! We brought in an extra chair from the balcony. They also supplied an electric kettle on request to supplement the Nespresso. Breakfast is in a nice bright comfortable room with good selection of food and coffee. We found their cafe/bar on the ground floor and the lounge behind very useful for drinks and light meals. Sunbathing is at the top floor pool. Everyone was friendly and helpful. A nice place very near the centre.

Loved our stay here. Great location in the centre of Palma. Efficient check-in, helpful staff (we asked for deck chair style chairs on the balcony to be replaced with standard chairs & they sorted immediately) and great rooms. We upgraded to a room with a larger balcony overlooking the pool and it was perfect. Only reason I have not given 5 stars was due to fact when we visited the pool the area felt a bit untidy (several used glasses/plates left on tables that staff didn’t appear to be in a rush to clear away). Shout out to the Rooftop bar, lovely cocktails and amazing views across the city. Would definitely stay here again!

Frustrating experience considering I was really looking forward to a relaxing 2 night stay here. I had requested a quiet room with a double bed ( I thought) but was put in a room with 2 single beds . At least it was a quiet fresh smelling very pleasant room. I should have stayed put . I was changed to a double room overlooking the street which smelled of body odour and had an annoying buzzing sound coming from the fuse box. I considered changing again but it wasn't worth the hassle . I mentioned about the buzzing sound to a man at reception but the buzzing remained for the 2 nights . I had to leave the balcony door slightly open during the first night as the room was very warm and the smell was unpleasant. As a result I got little sleep due to street noise ,at least it blocked out the buzzing noice from the fuse box. Second night I left balcony door closed and slept a bit better with ear plugs I purchased. No hotel information in the room which I found unusual, so I didn't know what facilities the hotel offered without actually going looking for myself . Also the TV was a struggle as I couldn't get the remote control to work properly.perhaps the batteries needed changing . I gave the hotel a 5 out of 10 rating to the lady at reception when she asked how was my stay,I actually forgot to mention to her about the smell in the room or the buzzing noise. On a plus ,the staff were friendly helpful and polite and the lobby and pool area are very nice . Also the breakfast which I paid extra for was really good ,great selection to choose from. Pity about the room I was given as the rest of the hotel was really good.

i have stayed at this hotel a few times and love where it is central in Palma. the rooms are comfortable and the pool area spacious. Breakfast is plentiful in a bright a pleasant dining area. i want to give a special mention to receptionist Alba Portillo. Due to our room being cancelled via an agent used by Travel Republic unknown to us, she handled the problem professionally and good natured assuring us that we would have a room available, not to worry and all would be sorted which is was thanks to her!!. we will gladly stay her again and look forward to it. once again thank you Alba.

Location, facilities, pools, roof top bar!

Good hotel location. Walking distance from Santa Catalina and Palma central. Room is spacious and comfortable. Good buffet breakfast selection. Front desk staffs are friendly and approachable
