“Hotel Sardinero Madrid”

The best

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Sardinero in late April 2026 for three nights. Our experience was very good. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of good quality food. The hotel was located in a great neighbourhood, north of the central area. The rooms were nicely decorated, and our room overlooking the square was sound proof. Yes, I would recommend the hotel.

“Okay”

The best

The hotel itself is fine - nice and clean. Location is great for most attractions and directly on top of an underground station if you need to get that to go somewhere. What I didn't realise is that the building is built like a hollow cylinder. So if you have one of the internal facing rooms you get little natural light, especially on the lower floors like I was. I asked if I could get a change of room and, after checking, was told it would be possible, which was quite accommodating by the hotel. Yet the following day I was told that the previous employee that I spoke to "made a mistake" and that it, without question, it wasn't possible. A strange dismissal. This peculiar miscommunication marred an otherwise adequate experience.

“Elevate your city break”

The best

Hotel Sardinero is perfectly placed for all your holiday needs. We used the metro from the airport, which was so easy. The entire city is walkable from your base, with some good food and drink places nearby. Also a phenomenal ice cream shop over the road. We stored our luggage at the hotel, as we had an early flight. Fatima was extremely helpful, friendly and informative. On her recommendation we ate in La Latina, and it was superb. The room was beautiful with a small balcony and floor to ceiling windows, making it light and airy Breakfast was fantastic. A good selection of hot/cold and continental options. Wide variety of juices and coffee/tea. The guy hosting the breakfast room was attentive and friendly - he kept everything topped up. If I were coming again, I would stay here in a heartbeat

“Too nice for the price!!!”

The best

i discovered boutique style hotels back in Sweden. This is a little above boutique style, but still has that vibe. I love the hotel and will stay there again, as i plan on being in Spain quite often.
