Hotel SB Corona Tortosa

Hotel it self was ok. Restaurant services and food not so brilliant. Some missing articlen on a starter plate and after complaining of it the service and main cources went not good. Red wine was ice cold , main course stake was burned from the others side and french fries were really sad looking. Nothing else on the plate than piece of meat and few fries. Not even proper stake knife. Pasta carbonara was a tincan quality. Not good. Didn’t got the bill before asking it from reception, although good service in there.

Had an apartment type of room, lovely views over the pool, spotlessly clean and everything looked very new. Evening meal good, as was breakfast, very clean and spacious garage. Will stay again. Nice walk to the town centre with large river.

Lovely hotel/apartments. Very clean in all the main buildings. Lovely outside area, pool could do with clean. Mind you, it is March, so only the very brave or silly would go in it. The surround of the pool has a few sunbeds, but plenty of other seating. Beware, there are no kettles in the room, and none are held at reception. The coffee machine takes the little coffee canisters. Takes ages to try and make a cup of tea. We ended up using a pan to boil water for brews. A kettle in the room would be a good idea. Especially in the apartments. The bar is lovely, all staff are very friendly and will help where they can. We haven't tried the food yet, so I can not comment on that. Parking is underground with limited spaces. This is via side road on the right past the hotel. There is a petrol station across the road, a big supermarket and a LIDL nearby. They close 2100. We didn't see any open restaurants nearby apart the one in hotel. Loads of little extras in the room, toothbrush and paste, cotton wool pads and buds, razor (use at you own peril), shoe horn, shoe shine sponge and a little pack of cotton, needles and buttons.

Stayed one night on a Leger Holidays tour. Nice room with safe, Fridge, Free Air con plus hairdryer and iron on request. We couldn't get the air con to work very efficiently but that may have been us not knowing what we were doing and as we were only staying one night it didn't bother us too much. Friendly and efficient staff especially in the bar & Restaurant and excellent with food allergies & dietary requirements at group dinner. Well done!

We spent a great week here, mainly cycling in the area staying in a lovely spacious 'family apartment'. The secure cycling facilities are first class, in the underground car park. Not only secure bike parking, but also a fully equipped workshop, with tools, bike wash bay, washing machine and tumble drier (all free). Fabulous. The hotel is spotless, staff are friendly. Even with out a bike we'd have still loved it.
