“Watch out for your belongings”
I stayed at the SERHS Rivoli Rambla Hotel for three nights in February, and my experience was extremely disappointing. On the last day of my stay, after housekeeping cleaned the room, I noticed that my perfume was missing. I am certain it was stolen by the housekeeping staff. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s complete lack of responsibility. I spoke to the front desk four separate times and sent follow-up emails, yet nothing was done. No investigation, no compensation, and not even a sincere attempt to resolve the issue. Instead, I was told that I should have stored my belongings in the safe and that the hotel is not responsible for items left in the room. This response is unacceptable. Guests should not have to lock away every personal item just to prevent it from being taken by hotel staff. If you stay here, be very careful with your belongings.

Centrally located. Easy access to many attractions.
Right over the metro & you could hear it pass under the building every few mins. Plus the amount of construction going on.

Room was very well presented, air con was quiet and bathroom very functional with large walk in shower and provided toiletries. Lovely roof terrace for an evening cocktail
The hosepipe style old hairdryer on the wall was not great though could do with updating! Or even if you provided a plugin one to use in the bedroom.

“It is always hit and miss with SERHS”
It was our 5-6th stay here. And it’s never the same experience, from the good one to the total disaster. The previous reviews are available on TA. Our biggest draws have always been the location and the view . With the renovation works going on Rambla and the lack of the desired view(more below) , I think this time was the last time. Despite me contacting the reservation a few weeks in advance (we were celebrating my bday) when I several times asked and several times assured by the reservation agent that we would be allocated a high floor room with the cathedral view, we were given a room on 2nd floor facing the wall of the next building, without any sunlight. That reservation agent was not available when we were checking in (Sunday ), so I had to use all my persuasion skills to pressure the front office to give us smth better. They gave us a room with an inner yard view . It was not really what we wanted but better than the previous one. It is because of those ladies at reception I didn’t give the hotel one star. Plus the bellboys are really nice . It is disappointing that the hotel doesn’t respect repeat customers like us (hence we are stopping being repeat) nor do they respect their own promises. Other positive aspect was that they kindly accepted a big box for us and stored until our arrival. Thank you. The housekeeping was not too great either . The floors didn’t seem to have been cleaned / vacuumed properly. So , it was one of those trips that you prefer not to think about the hotel and focus on other wonderful things Barcelona has to offer. Our next trip in March will be to another hotel in the same location.
