“Lovely beachfront hotel in Talamanca”
We had a lovely stay here. The view from breakfast is simply jaw-dropping. One could sit and admire the colors of the water all day if there weren't so much else to do on the island! We loved that we could just swim out back of the hotel in the afternoon/evening when we arrived back after the day's activities. The property is small and feels very personal - the staff start to recognize you after the first day. It is a family-run hotel and there is no elevator. Although the front desk was at times short-staffed and the one person working would get overwhelmed trying to manage everything, we were impressed with their ability to meet the needs of all guests speaking multiple languages! The rooms are clean and recently updated (including the bathrooms). Everything was comfortable and the A/C worked well. However, we have to mention that there was a smell of rotting garbage that permeated our room the entire time we were there. The staff provided air freshener and changed the HVAC filter but I suspect it's just because our room bordered a courtyard where trash receptacles were stored. We were there in the height of summer and I imagine the smell is just impossible to get rid of. Maybe booking a seaview room (on the other side of the building) would have helped. Also note that parking in this neighborhood is really tough. There are about four streets, and you simply need to circle and look for someone leaving so you can snag the spot they are vacating. There are no parking garages close by. We loved the location for being relatively close to Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni without having to stay in the center of the action with all the noise that comes with that. However, if you'll be annoyed with the parking spot game, it might be worth looking for a hotel that has off-street parking. If you stay here, you can walk along the water to the Fish Shack for lunch and Sa Punta for dinner - both phenomenal!
“Room 4 should be condemned - DO NOT STAY HERE”
I have stayed at Ses Figueres a couple of times before a few years ago but this was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I even showed the lovely receptionist the room (004) on the ground floor. It was so smelly and stale and the smell from the street by the bins was just as bad, so I couldn't open the window. I asked to move but but I was told the hotel was full so I couldn't move. The ceiling fan was very loose and almost falling off and was so noisy, so I had to revert to air con which was very loud. I also showed her the shower door was broken, so water went everywhere in the tiny shower room and the sink plug didn't work so water was wasted. The noise from reception was so loud at night. Also there was no WiFi for 2 days during my stay so it was impossible to work from the hotel, which was very frustrating. I wrote to the manager Natalia, explaining the situation and listing all the issues in the hope that she would at least have the decency to contact me and apologise or offer a compensation. She disappeared when I checked out and even though I was very civil and called/emailed every day for a week to have a grown up conversation, she didn't bother to call me back. In short this was a terrible experience. The hotel staff were very nice, but if you're in Talamanca do yourself a favour and go and stay at Lux Isla, Simbad, Hostal Talamanca or Hotel Argos, they are much, much better. The rooms here are so archaic and the management couldn't even be bothered to reply to me. Enough said. Don't waste your money. Absolutely terrible
“Perfect pied-a-terre in Ibiza, great location and value for money”
Perfect, simple, very well located. Extremely nice and helpful staff. They were amazing even in my one night there!
Very small room but very clean.
“Would recommend”
The location of the hotel is great, a lot of small cafes and restaurants around and it's right on the beach. The staff was friendy, the food was great.
“Nice beach hotel”
Nicely located property with amazing staff
It felt a bit pricy compared to the other hotels we had during our trip
“Fair Hotel with no lift”
Very nice breakfast buffet, Staff at reception helped us book a taxi calling them directly - very helpful indeed. Wonderful view of the sea. Nice path along the beach for a stroll at sunset. Street is ok to park car - we had no problem ever finding a spot when returning to Hotel (usually around 7 pm). Hotel does not have a parking. Bathroom modern and very clean. Nice hairdryer. A very very convenient supermarket just steps from Hotel door across the street with everything you need for a day on a remote beach: beach gear, food, cooler, beverages etc
Nobody to help us with luggage up the stairs as we were on second floor and Hotel has no elevator. I missed the info when I booked the room. In the end, it was a nice exercise in face of too much food during vacation. One has to see positive side, right?
