Excellent location.
The staff is ok and very friendly.
General satisfaction with the stay.
Room was clean.
Breakfast was good.
The bathroom does not excel in cleanliness.
“Huge price for less services”
if you make the mistake of booking the room directly at the reception, you will be surprised that the price is almost double compared to booking.com. and the parking is not included in the price, you will have to pay separately for parking. the bar opens only at 8 am, if you are a morning person, you will not be able to serve a coffee. the bathroom does not excel in cleanliness. if your car is more towards the limousine class, you will have problems with the underground parking which is very cramped, great care. otherwise the staff is ok
“Very nice place to stay”
Lovely hotel. Great location in a Burgos. Efficient service and good food for breakfast and lunch. Comfortable room with spacious bathroom room. Bed linens and mattress very comfortable. Bar service friendly. Burgos was a very interesting city.
“Not a 4 star hotel.”
With no bar or food available at weekends this is just not acceptable for a hotel that thinks it is 4 stars. Coffee machine at breakfast room broken for three days and breakfast staff rude. Living on past glories I am afraid. Disappointing and hope for better service next time.
“comfortable and convenient”
My husband and I spent 3 nights in Burgos and were very pleased with the Silken Gran Teatro hotel. The room was a nice size space (with a chair and a desk/table), the bed was very comfortable, and everything was clean. The location is very convenient - a short walk from the Cathedral and everything in the old town, without being in the middle of that area, which can be congested and noisy at times. It's right on the river, and our room had a nice view of the river and the Museum of Human Evolution on the other side (well worth a visit). The breakfast buffet was great - lots of options, including hot food.
“Silken Gran Teatro, Burgos”
This hotel was well over our expectations. As soon as you walk in, you think, wow. Reception staff very welcoming, freindly and helpful. We were upgraded to a superior room on the 8th floor with large balcony over looking the city. Room was large and modern and had 2 double glazed doors leading on to the balcony. Couldn't fault anything. Beds were comfy and the room had air con. The old parts of the city and the cathedral are with 10-15 mins walking distance and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Will be staying here again when passing through. Excellent hotel, highly recommend.
“Disappointing”
Staff great...except for waiter (Jesus) in dining room...he was unfriendly, unprofessional and more suited to working in a fast food outlet. The girl working behind the bar on 14/03 was wonderful. Bedroom and bed very good. Bathroom awful....shower leaked everywhere. Horrible filthy filler in sink/basin and under the shower enclosure. Food in restaurant good value....but risotto way over cooked and Tiramasu bore no resemblance in any way to the proper desert (We had to leave it).
