The best

The property has a lovely, light, open feel. It is very clean, has a great pool and the staff are fantastic. They do a good breakfast and good food for lunch and dinner. It’s close to some lovely cove beaches. Really good.

“Old hotel in a nice spot”

The best

It is a quite nice hotel, although the rooms and the rest of the inventary are a bit outdated in many ways. The room was rather small, but with a balcony, the bathroom was also small. To really convince me as a 4 star spa hotel I would have expected: - free mineral water in room (1bottle/day/person) : not provided - free tea&coffee in room: not provided - bathrobe&slippers in room: not provided (you get a bathrobe if you book a spa circuit) - wastebin in room: not provided - free digital safe (no key!): must be rented at extra cost - free pool towels: not provided, must be rented at extra cost - swimming cap: compulsory: must be bought at extra cost - hair conditioner & bodylotion: not provided - more electric outlets by the bed (for chargeing electronic devices): not provided Many hotels have understood that under ecological aspects they shouldn‘t provide shampoo, bathgels etc. in small flasks but in big bottles which can be refilled (So you don’t waste 2-3 bottles a day). Especially in a spa/beach hotel where you shower more than usual this would be a good policy too. As for the staff: keep in mind, this is Galicia! Staff may appear very unfriendly and offhand at first, responding in one word sentences only. Once the guest has managed some words in Spanish or found another way to break the ice, all is well. The staff at reception were always very friendly though! But again, you‘d better speak Spanish as their English is basic. The breakfast buffet was allright, some of everything, bread, fruit, joghurt, cheese and cold cuts, eggs.The quality of the goods was ok. As was the food at dinner, allright but not very inspiring. We had booked a room with spa circuit. The circuit consists of a pool, a jacuzzi, aroma steam bath, showers and a hot pool with jets. You need to wear a swimming cap to use the circuit!! If you didn’t bring one you need to bux one! We quite liked the circuit although the place could use a makeover sooner than later.

As for the staff: keep in mind, this is Galicia! Staff may appear very unfriendly and offhand at first, responding in one word sentences only. Once the guest has managed some words in Spanish or found another way to break the ice, all is well. The staff at reception were always very friendly though! But again, you‘d better speak Spanish as their English is basic. The breakfast buffet was allright, some of everything, bread, fruit, joghurt, cheese and cold cuts, eggs.The quality of the goods was ok. As was the food at dinner, allright but not very inspiring. We had booked a room with spa circuit. The circuit consists of a pool, a jacuzzi, aroma steam bath, showers and a hot pool with jets. You need to wear a swimming cap to use the circuit!! If you didn’t bring one you need to bux one! We quite liked the circuit although the place could use a makeover sooner than later. The water in the pool was a mix of saltwater and chemicals - very aggressiv for the eyes! You should only dive with goggles or your eyes might ache and get swollen as was the case with some of our party! There is a very lovely garden with a small pool too. There are sunloungers that you can use (for free) but if you want a towel you need to rent it (per day).
