“A lovely hotel, perfect for a base to explore Cuenca.”

Located just outside the old city, this hotel is a perfect base to explore. Very simple facilities, and the hotel interior could use a bit of a face lift (bathrooms and public corridors), but the warm rooms are ideal to come back to after a day of walking the old city. Very helpful staff, no problems giving directions or helping any way they can. Parking is adjacent to the hotel (€24/ day) there’s also on street parking. You couldn’t argue with the price of the hotel either for the time of year we stayed so another bonus. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay when visiting Cuenca.

Underground parking excellent. · Cons: We arrived Sunday night, menu in restaurant limited, my wife had cold spiced salmon in a sauce, nothing else 21 euros, I had a beautiful piece of hake with cold courgette 20 euros. Not for us but I'm sure the menu del dia would be fine .”

“Nice modern hotel, underground parking for 11 motorbikes - we were a bit unlucky on the day.”

The best

Modern hotel, 10 minutes walk (see below) to the centre of Cuenca. Nice outside area and good quality tapas served with drinks orders. Underground parking for 11 motorbikes was very good. Room was good size with excellent shower. Breakfast was good for 11 big hungry bikers.

To be improved

We were unfortunate in our dates, it was a holiday Monday. Firstly, the chef rang in 'sick', so suddenly and without warning there was no dinner available - only ham croissants and burgers. Secondly, the air conditioning failed in some of the rooms so the bedroom temperature was 28 degrees not great for sleep. The receptionist told me this was being fixed (as we departed). Only that I had prepaid the hotel, I would not have paid full price for the lesser services.
