The receptionist entered the information incorrectly on the receipt she gave us, and we thought it was paid until the 1st, but we actually had to leave on the 31st.

Nice and cheap hotel, good location close to the palace

To be improved

Is in need of modernisation, I was slightly concerned entering the lift, it works fine but does feel archaic. The bathroom had some black mould and the sink tap leaked.

The location was good and easy to find Bar/cafeteria downstairs Allowed early check in

I arrived early had a coffee and toast..girl tried charging €7,50 so I questioned it then she apologised and said it was €3,50.. think she was trying it on as I'm a foreigner The very worst thing was tiny little half bath Tried having a bath then when emptying suddenly huge amounts of water started pouring out of a cover on bathroom floor..I managed to block it with a towel..then with the bathmat and other towel mopped up all the water... soaking wet naked no more towels The cleaning girl was very apologetic but when I explained what had happened to the staff at the bar they said I should have asked for a mop and bucket... speechless Would expect my money to be refunded..but no chance I won't stay there ever again even though I go to El Escorial once a month for work commitments
