“Good”

The best

Very nice location with access to the country side, good for a walk. Common rooms are very cosy, with chimneys in wintertime - very nice.

To be improved

This place has seen its best time years ago and needs a fundamental renovation. Windows in the rooms could not opened, although we asked several times for it. The Spa is well below standards of a 5 star hotel.

“I really liked it and will be back!”

The best

I love all the green spaces, suitable for 6km running or walking. The restaurant was the highlight; both the quality of the food, how nice the chef was greeting every table, the extensive wine list. The spa was just what we needed; it has a team room and dry sauna perfect for 2 people. The heated indoor pool was also very nice.

To be improved

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like, because there was nothing I dislike. Probably my room needed some maintenance. Also, having coffee machine and tea pot would be nice (I had to request a teapot but again, having both coffee and tea at the room would be great). And finally, I think they could probably make it easier for the client at check in, they can pick up the bags at the parking lot and take them to the room (we had to take the bags to the front desk and they took them to the room- but it was raining and it was a little mess given that the rooms are detached from the main building).

“Decayed place, probably had better times, not worth it anymore with current prices”

The best

Beautiful environment within a huge property with deers and full of acorn trees. It was very nice to take a tour of the property in a 4x4 and to enjoy the lake and the peaceful surroundings. Restaurant quality of food and service is great, good breakfast

To be improved

Property does not meet the standards of luxury and price is definitely too high both for accommodation and food/drink at the restaurant. Service is good at the restaurant but reception is clueless. Rooms need updating, definitely this place had better times many years ago…
