“Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Pet friendly. Great base for walking the Catalan Pyrenees.”

“Perfect place to stay if you want to explore the surrounding area and relax. Facilities are well equipped and convenient for a longer stay (hiking equipment, store, bars, outdoor activities). The staff is wonderful and helpful. Very nice massage programme offered. · Cons: The building is being renovated so it can get loud early in the day, workers participating in the renovation are also extremely loud during the time off. Don't expect wonders from their breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet. Very repetitive and difficult to find options if you have some food intolerance. It's ok for a couple of days, but not for a full week. Beds and pillows aren't particularly comfortable.”

“Amazingly peaceful retreat in the mountains”
The setting is amazing. You can only get to the hotel by train which means once the day trippers go home it becomes incredibly peaceful. You are surrounded by high mountains. The buffet is very good and by booking early we got great value. The staff were always helpful and cheerful.
We would have liked a blind on the window as otherwise you are showering by the window … yes a lovely view to look at when showering but less good for people walking past😂
“I've stayed at this hotel several times and decided to write a review. The hotel itself and the valley are stunning—truly beautiful and picturesque. The rooms have always been clean and fresh. · Cons: However, the overall impression is spoiled by the poor quality of the food. The buffet costs €25.50, yet most dishes appear stale and not fresh; the watermelon was soggy, the meat overly dry and overcooked, and the vegetable options limited to carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, and red pepper. It was difficult for me to choose something enjoyable to eat. Additionally, there's a complete monopoly within the hotel—whether it's the café, buffet, or restaurant, the approach to food preparation is consistently disappointing. Each stay has been marred by this low food quality. Monopolies are problematic because they force guests to buy what's available, depriving them of any choice.”

“It's worth visiting for the hikes and mountain views, but definitely not for the hotel itself.”
Great location, friendly staff, and an amazing spot for hiking
As for the hotel itself, it’s seriously overpriced — €1000 for a family room for 2 nights with meals included. The room had no fridge or air conditioning, and it was stuffy inside at night with temperatures around 25°C. There were some cobwebs here and there, although the rest of the room was clean. One of the biggest downsides was the cleanliness and quality of the tableware. Coffee cups were dirty, spoons stuck together, forks still had bits of food on them, and many plates and cups were chipped — quite unpleasant overall. The hotel experience felt rather basic, with limited entertainment. There was a small paid playground for kids, and the additional cafés closed around 6 PM.
