Very convenient to the water front, restaurants, etc. Just a lovely hotel.

“A brilliant week attending a family wedding where the location of the hotel was perfect.”

The room suited us very well as it was on the ground floor. We had a small balcony attached to the room itself which made a nice place to sit and read. You could open the blinds or have them closed to keep out the sun if it was too hot. There were also large windows that opened onto a quiet patio below. There was minimal traffic noise.

To be improved

I find it odd that hotel rooms seldom have a waste paper basket, just a bin in the bathroom. If you have a tissue to throw away, or receipts from shopping, you have to scrunch them up and fit them into a tiny bathroom bin. The lighting in the bedroom was poor but we could go onto the balcony area if we wanted to read, for example.

We had an infestation of ants in our room. Having arrived late and gone out for dinner we were not aware of them until the morning. When I told the manager in the morning he suggested it may be because we ahead food in the room (we.didnt) and that there was nothing to worry about with ants. I showed him photos of hundreds of ants that had infested our bags and clothes. He just shrugged. When I suggested that perhaps we should get some money back (I had spent ages cleaning ants from all my possessions) he said "no." When I asked him.if he was sorry he said :of course" but no apology was forthcoming. I rarely do reviews like this as I want small businesses to succeed. But the arrogance and unhelpful attitude of this manager made me want to share. All we needed was an apology
