“Superb location with great staff”

The best

The location is superb - it is the reason we have visited this hotel on a number of occasions before. The reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast provided a good selection of cold foods, and as I needed gluten-free food, this was also provided without hesitation. The menu for the evening meal would meet most tastes and was all beautifully cooked and presented, with generous portions. It is worth taking time, to wander round the grounds of the hotel, especially where it rises up on rugged footpaths above the apartment rooms, where there is a viewpoint over the beautiful surrounding countryside, with lovely silence apart from birdsong.

To be improved

Although our room was meant to have been cleaned, it was obviously done (not very well) some considerable time before, and the dust and dead flies which had accumulated, and the dirty floor was noticeable. There was only one bath towel and one hand towel for us to share. We were too tired and in need of relaxation to bother going back to reception to get this changed - I´m sure this would have been dealt with, but we couldn´t face the disruption of having the cleaner revisit, or having to repack to move to another unit. There are flies everywhere - throughout the entire region. You become used to them, but next time we visit, at this time of year, (late Spring, early Summer), we would definitely take fly spray and a fly swatter !! The fridge unit made a continual rumbling noise which could be heard through the bedroom door at night. The entire premises is in need of repainting/refurbishment, but the lovely staff, and excellent food and location make this a small price to pay for a lovely, relaxing short break.

A very nice hotel that we have stayed at several times before and will do so again. Set outside of the town of Laujar in beautiful grounds and with great views. A lovely, spacious room with a great terrace. Friendly staff and and a good pool area. There are lovely walks around the Rio Nacimiento area and direct from the hotel down to Fondon and Fuente Victoria. Recommended.
