“This single bed was in the attic space on the third floor. Perfect place to stay for a single person with AIR CONDITIONING! Which is not typical in some places. Quiet and comfortable. Right off of a bus route making traveling to and from the Camino Del Norte easy.”

“Good room with good quality wooden furniture and comfortable bed. Outside terrace was a plus. Good train station nearby to get around. · Cons: I found the bath/shower difficult and dangerous to get into because of the obstruction caused by the shower screen. A curtain would be better and a rail on the opposite wall to hold onto . The area lacked places to eat (except one sideria) and no takeaways at all. No meals except breakfast available in the hotel. But there was an excellent supermarket.”

“Perfect for bikers needing a place to stay that offers secure parking for motorcycles with luggage!”
I was travelling with a group of friends on motorbikes. We appreciated the provision of secure parking for our bikes, which meant we could leave all our luggage (including camping equipment etc) on the bikes and not have to unload everything and carry it up to our rooms! It was in an underground car park with restricted access, so it was perfectly safe. We could easily fit all 5 bikes into one car parking space which was ideal 😃 There was a charge of 9 euros/night for parking which wasn't stated in the accommodation information. The rooms were immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, beds very comfortable (it seems to be all newly refurbished). Location was great - not far from the main road and easy to find. Fuel station just up the road too! Plenty of places to eat and drink available and a small local supermarket only a couple of minutes walk away. Breakfast wasn't included, but there are plenty of places to eat within a stone's throw from the hotel! We would definitely return here again as it's an ideal for a stop over.
The only negative thing was the lack of information given at check-in. It was utter confusion trying to find where to park our motorbikes 🤣... the large underground car park is not underneath the hotel, but underneath another property further up the road! Once we had established where it was, it then took ages to work out how to actually get into it! We were given a plastic key which didn't fit the garage door. I then found a door at the side of this property with a device that the plastic key fitted. It was then like an episode of the Crystal Maze, going down two flights of stairs in the dark trying to find my way to the garage door (the underground car park is on two floors). When I finally located the garage door, it took time to locate the button to open it! After all the palaver we went through, it turns out there was a free-standing device on the driveway outside (around the corner from garage door) which, once inserted with the same plastic key, opened the garage door!! It would have saved us a lot of hassle and frustration trying to get into the garage if the receptionist had been more helpful with explanation of. 1) exactly where the garage is (not just pointing up the road muttering something about it being "up there") 2) advising us that the plastic key needs to be inserted into a device on the driveway (which isn't obvious as it is nowhere near the garage door) 3) telling us where to locate the button to open the garage door once you're inside (because again, it took some finding)! I appreciate that as we are English speaking this didn't help the situation! She was friendly in her manner and maybe she was unable to leave the reception area so couldn't take the time to show us, but for future (foreign speaking) guests, it would be helpful to be given more concise information (maybe even written down)!
“The hotel itself was fine, it is located about a mile and half from the centre of Aviles. · Cons: The reason for my 'passable' rating is solely based on the attitude of the hotel manager. I booked as single occupant, as my daughter was dancing in the Interceltic festival but she stayed with the other dancers in the hostel in Aviles. Unfortunately, she became unwell and she stayed one night in my room instead. However, on check-out I was told that, according to the manager, my daughter stayed two nights not one, and I had to pay 40 euro extra. I emailed the hotel afterwards to complain, but the manager did not believe me and refused to accept the possibility that they had mistaken another young women for my daughter the second day. Very poor customer service.”
