Hotel Virxe da Cerca by Pousadas de Compostela

Great find. We chose this hotel by chance finding it particularly well located, comfortable room, excellent bed and bathroom. Paid parking nearby worked well. The staff were excellent, the breakfast fine and the garden a haven of peace within the City.

Very comfortable accomodation with historic interest. Very well situated for the old town access, cathedral etc. Can't thank the staff enough for arranging postal return of 2 expensive to replace rain jackets we left behind. Highly recommended.

Though it wasn’t perfect, I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was nice, but a bit old and tired. The bed and linens were comfortable, and the wifi was strong. But the room was generally dark, the A/C a bit weak, and the bathroom was old-school. Everything else was great, though. The garden and grounds were wonderful, and the breakfast buffet was healthy and plentiful. The location was nice, and it was easy to get to the Cathedral from the hotel. Even though the room(s) were lacking, I’d still stay here again.

The hotel is located in a perfect spot to walk to the historic parts of the city. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is filled with old world charm and history. The breakfast was exceptional and there was a nice lounge for relaxing and having a snack in the evening.
