“A hotel dependent on the reputation of the castle”

The location is next to the historic castle, in the castle grounds. Car parking is secure and the surroundings picturesque. The bedroom was a good size with standard facilities.

To be improved

The location is only reachable by car, and there is no where to explore apart from the castle. When we visited there was no hot water available in our room, or indeed the entire hotel for over 24 hours. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and on one of the nights we stayed there was a noisy function taking place just outside our bedroom window which only ended at 23.30.

A very welcome place to arrive at on a very hot day, good room and great terrace bar for cold drinks and snacks to while away the evening.

They charged us for 4 deserts and we had only 3. They then tried to charge for cooked breakfasts and we had continental, we didn't see anyone having cooked. All bills must be checked at this hotel.”
