Hotel Xabina Javea

It is a hostel not a hotel! See WiFi login photo! There is no reception or people on site, the keys must be collected outside the front of the property. The photos misrepresent the rooms. The AC unit in room 9 makes a loud clicking noise every 40 seconds. No way to sleep so the room was very hot and uncomfortable. The bathroom is from perhaps from a motorhome or boat. Seriously! It’s a plastic shell for RV purposes? Two tiny Ikea chairs. One roll of TP. Tiny refrigerator sitting on the floor. I paid 311 Euro!!! That’s robbery. Booking.com should not be offering this or get it marketed for what it is.

There wasn’t a key in the box on arrival and it took me a while to find out from the staff the new code to get in. It would have been better if they had bar snacks / drinks available to buy by the pool.

Difficulty of accessing the site .room number changed twice on instructions. Not given the right room key There should be someone to meet you.

No on site staff. Key on wall in key safe outside gates. All instructions were sent to me via WhatsApp in Spanish. ( you can't apply translator to whatsapp) but we speak enough Spanish. We got in eventually and we were the sole occupants. Shower tray overflowed when showering. Outside areas not tended. Rather derelict. Railway sleeper steps dangerous. Air conditioning very noisy. We couldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We arrived early thinking we could leave our luggage in storage this service was not available..infact you cannot enter the accommodation until 3pm full stop as it has electric gates preventing you entering. Our room was huge but had a tiny ensuite with the shower not having a drain cover ( a hazard) and a broken shower fixture which meant you had to hold the shower head to wash yourself down also the shower enclosure leaked out onto the floor..less a hotel more a hostel..
