The best

Another fantastic stay at the Golden Playa. Wonderful hotel staff. Rooms are great food is great. Superb base for exploring the island by bicycle. Thank you to Sumit, Alex,Aliz, Pepe and Manolo for making our holiday exceptional.

A large selection of delicious and abundant food. Behind the hotel, there was a well-maintained pool with available sunbeds, a beautiful sandy beach, and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. “A modest hotel experience made better by kind staff, delicious dinners, and the simple joys of beach”
The best

We are grateful for every experience life brings — and our stay at HSM Golden Playa was no exception. While this wasn’t the best 4-star hotel we’ve stayed at in Mallorca, it had its own charm and some wonderful people who made our vacation special. The Good: 🌟 Daily room cleaning — A big thank you to our housekeeper Agnieszka! The room was always spotless, fresh, and welcoming after a day at the beach. Truly appreciated. 🍽️ Dinner — This was the highlight of our stay. It felt like the dinners were prepared by a professional chef! Everything looked and tasted great — we often had to take a long walk afterward to digest it all. 😊 Staff — A warm thank you to the restaurant team: Ivan, Pepe, Marga, Katherina — and of course, Tess, whose smile made our evenings. We hope the hotel management recognizes their great service. They made a big difference.

The Not-So-Good: 🏖️ The beach — The famous “golden beach” looks beautiful early in the morning, when the water is still clear. But once the crowds arrive and stir the sand, the sea becomes cloudy for the rest of the day. That was a bit disappointing. 🚿 No beach showers — This was probably the biggest issue for us. After swimming in the sea, there’s no place on the beach to rinse off. The only option is to walk all the way back to the hotel and use the shared shower near the pool — which takes 15–20 minutes round trip (and only if it’s not occupied). Surprisingly, nearby beaches (just 15–20 minutes away) do have freshwater showers. 🍳 Breakfast — Very basic and repetitive. Not ideal if you’re looking for healthy options. Cold cuts were the main item every day. The only reliable sources of protein were hard-boiled eggs and some plain yogurt. 🍔 Bar snacks — Mostly fast food like burgers and fries. We personally missed some lighter options — fresh fruit or simple, healthy snacks. But maybe that’s just us. :)

The hotel is near the beach which was wonderful. We had a room with sea view which was beautiful. The pool area is good too. Very polite and helpful staf!
