“Great service but busy and loud”

The best

The hotel is lovely but the rooms are not soundproof and I was awakened more than once by guests in adjacent rooms and the hallway. We did request a quiet room but it wasn’t really quiet. The area around is really really busy. You can’t walk busy. I wouldn’t stay there again as it was very stressful being on Grand Via from early afternoons on. The rooftop is great and so is the service. Barbara at the bar downstairs for one was very helpful and kind, the concierges, the front desk. Even the room service. My daughter ordered waffle for breakfast three mornings in a row but the last one was without fruit and different. So room service gentleman brought her a new waffle himself. She was very happy. Definitely a 5* service. If room were really soundproof that would make a huge difference.

“Hotel exceeds expectations”

The best

Great experience at this hotel. Executive suite was large and easily accommodated 2 adults/2 children. Staff was friendly and attentive, welcome drinks and bottle of wine. Breakfast with good selection for everyone. Hotel is in a busy area that is well connected to transit and walking distance to many attractions.

The location of the Hyatt Centric Gran Via is excellent, the facilities are impressive -- elegant without being pretentious -- and the staff provide personalized attention that makes a stay quite enjoyable. We celebrated out anniversary there, and Alicia, Cristina and Barbara made the occasion even more special!

“Excelente!”

The best

Personalized customer service is their superpower! From the moment we arrived all the way until our departure, this hotel's customer service is topnotch! After a long trip, they were able to accommodate an early check-in for us. They personally offered to deliver our heavy luggage to the room. Room was impeccable and roomy with nice, light decor. Staff were very helpful in providing directions, assistance, and requests daily. On departure, they made things easier for us by storing our luggage, then ordering a cab and carried our luggage for us to the cab. Cleaning services were done daily - it was nice to come home to a nice, clean room after a day of touring. We mentioned in passing a milestone birthday for our trip, and they went above and beyond to make us feel special - cake and warm birthday wishes delivered to our room (signed by staff), rooftop staff and manager, Angie, went above and beyond to make my birthday extra-special! Location of the hotel was great as well - walking distance to key sights, restaurants, shops, and easy access to public transportation. Completely impressed by the staff overall - would stay here again and again when in Madrid!
