“Madrid 2026”
I stayed at the Hyatt Hesperia Madrid for one night March 2026 -- what stood about this experience was the fantastic quality of the staff -- every member I interacted with was so kind thoughtful and helpful, from the door staff, to the check-in staff to guest experience staff. Staff all proficient in English (and forgiving of my poor Spanish!) The room had comfortable beds, good climate control in the room, complimentary water. The only weak point in the is that there wasn't a desk (which was of minimal concern for me on holiday but would have been nice), and some sort of chair or armchair in the room. But the room had plenty of areas to charge devices and even a voltage adapter which is obviously key for travel these days. Location-wise, it's outside the main tourist interest area of Madrid (a plus or a minus depending on who you are), but it is still well connected - a bus stop with several useful lines right outside the hotel (which took us within blocks of Retiro Park in 15min), and the Gregorio Mañon metro stop is right on the corner. Additionally, even though it's in a less well-known neighborhood of Madrid, there's still plenty of restaurants and cafes you can walk to in 5 min, and even a few off the beaten path museums walking distance - including the Lazaro Galdiano Museum, a beautiful old mansion that is now an art museum. I didn't have to time to explore the inside, but the surrounding grounds are a lovely intimate green space free to enter, which made for a nice morning activity prior to checkout. Again my thanks to the staff here for their kindness and making my short stay in Madrid lovely.
“Worst hyatt regency ever”
Worst hyatt regency across the globe - the regency club serves only fried rice or steamed beans as the main dish for dinner. The tolitries are all expired. Very dated hotel with significant cost cutting measures implemented. Will avoid at all cost.
“Nice stay”
Location is great, right next to a metro stop. Easy to get a taxi too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice shower set up. Rooms were quiet.
“Where to stay in Madrid!”
Very nice hotel in a quieter part of town, very close to the subway and busses so it’s easy to get to anywhere in the city. Used the concierge service several times. Helpful and knowledgeable giving helpful hints and suggestions on how to make our vist in Madrid more enjoyable. Wonderful breakfast buffet, well kept hotel with a helpful and friendly staff! Everyone spoke English and there were never any communication problems. Would definitely stay again!
“One Night Stay in Madrid to Visit Sala de Despiece Restaurant. Shower Head”
We chose to stay here due to its short walk to the incredible Sala de Despiece restaurant and the lovely Chamberi neighbourhood. Check in staff were friendly and efficient, and the lobby area was clean, bright and smartly decorated. Our room was the cheapest available but a good size with a large bathroom. The shower pressure was excellent and, at 6'5" tall, I could fit comfortably under the shower head. The mattress is a little on the firm side but not too so hard as to be uncomfortable. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast where the was an excellent choice. Would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends or family...
