“Disappointing”

This property was advertised as having a balcony, but didn't have one and the agent was not interested in coming to a solution to resolve that we had paid for an apartment with a balcony. There were many problems with this apartment. In the living room the TV was on the left hand wall from the sofa making it impossible to watch. The apartment was cold and only 2 rooms with a heater. In the bathroom the electric heater when you switched it on plunged the entire apartment into darkness whilst in the shower. The light above the mirror didn't work my husband couldn't see to shave. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. In the kitchen the electric oven wasn't heating properly, we couldn't light the gas hob as there was nothing to light it with. The sink had no stopper to keep the water in and no bowl to do the washing up? Water went straight down the drain. No dish cloth, or tea towel for cleaning and drying the dishes and pots and pans. We had been in Spain for 5 weeks in several different apartments and this one had the least possible amenities for a self catering apartment. We had to ask for so many basic and necessary things that are normally supplied for a comfortable stay.
