From the Reception desk to the restaurant and bars, service is just excellent. The housekeepers are lovely, smiling, efficient and polite all the time. The reception area is beautiful, with lots of quiet and comfy settees and a bid TV screen for football lovers. Room is nice and comfortable with a good bed and pillows, chairs and balcony. Food is excellent, both for breakfast and dinner, with lots of varieties for all tastes. I just would like the bar to have some snacks like tapas in the evenings – the only option for dinner was the buffet restaurant. Perhaps half board is a better option – we were only on BB basis – but we are conscious that buffet food for 7 nights can become quite boring. We hired a car – which we recommend – and visited many different beautiful places around. Be aware that the hotel charges 15 Euros a day for parking but it is free to park on the road from October onwards. The Hotel has different musical entertainment every night, which was very good. The only problem is the location – which actually is not hotel’s fault. Yes, you can walk about 10 minutes to reach a precinct with bars and restaurants; however, it is an almost a deserted area with most of places closed in October - not sure about summer. Options for places with food/drinks were very limited. I believe the management is aware that there are not many options for food around but they do their very best to provide good food/drinks and keep you entertained.

Absolutely perfect, beautiful hotel. Everything was flawless and better than expected and it was excellent value for money. The staff are wonderful. The only negative were the birds flying around the breakfast room. For a 5 star hotel which is so clean, it was very surprising to have birds inside in the breakfast room. As someone who has a fear of birds, it was very unsettling and I didn't think it was very hygenic. Aside from this the everything was just fabulous.

This place is our go to escape. Ticks all the boxes! 5 star service from every staff member, exquisite food, sparkling clean and prime location. You are treated like family hence why we come back several times a year. Thank you Linde, Ismael . We stayed 10 nights at Iberostar Selection Andalucía Playa and enjoyed our time, but the hotel feels more like a four-star property dressed up as a five-star. The food was generally good, though more “cruise ship quality” than fine dining. The meat-grilling station at dinner was a nice touch—they’d cook your steak or pork fresh—but most other dishes were just okay. Breakfast was the biggest letdown. For a five-star resort, the coffee from the machine was terrible, even the cappuccino. You’d expect a good coffee at the very least, but that wasn’t the case here. Service was polite, but not as attentive as you’d hope at this level. Nobody asked how our stay was when we checked out, for example. Still, the staff at dinner were friendly when we interacted with them and helped us choose a nice wine. Room cleaning was quick, though not always thorough. The pools looked stunning, but the large main pool was absolutely freezing—almost unusable unless the day was hot. The smaller heated pool was nice but usually full of kids. Beach access was excellent, and our semi-private pool right outside the room was a real highlight, even if the temperature sometimes fluctuated. We were half-board and took a lot of day trips thanks to the great location. Overall, we had a very nice stay—but compared to other four-star hotels we’ve visited, this one didn’t quite reach true five-star standards.

We had a wonderfully positive stay at the Andalucía Playa. The staff were consistently professional, friendly and helpful — from reception to the bars and restaurants, and especially the housekeeping and turn-down team, who even treated us to extra chocolates on some evenings. The hotel itself feels modern, very well maintained and absolutely spotless throughout. Although the sun beds are set quite close together, there was never a shortage and we always found two side by side without any difficulty. Our suite near the sea was spacious and well appointed. The jetted tub is only big enough for one, but the shower, balcony and bed are generously sized for two (or more), which is a real luxury. A sun shade on the balcony for late afternoon would be a useful addition, but otherwise the accommodation, food and overall setting were excellent. The spa deserves a special mention — the treatments and massages were wonderful and added an extra level of relaxation to our stay. With its prime position right on the beach, immaculate facilities, excellent spa and attentive service, it’s a near-perfect seaside hotel.
