“March holiday”
Lovely hotel, out of this world food, gorgeous setting. We were put in a family room great space with a separate bedroom but to be fair we thought it needed a lick of paint. Weather wasn't as good as we would normally have, but it didn't spoil our holiday. The staff , were excellent, waiting staff, chefs, cleaners everyone were great. Didn't upgrade to star prestige but as we were half board we upgraded to drinks package with evening meal 10 Euros each you only need a bottle of water and a couple of wines or beers each and you've got your money's worth. .I would stay here again but I would ideally want the double seaview room we'd initially booked but it wasn't a problem as we did have more room. Hopefully the weather will be better next time.....
“lovely holiday again.”
second time at this hotel, greeted by severine on arrival who remembered us from last year which was nice. we stayed in prestige so no children, but went between the areas depending what was on. it was nice to chat with al fonzo and diago who seem to enjoy there work and make an effort to speak to all the guests. leo on the bar was so attentive he would be making my g and t as i approached the bar for early doors whilst awaiting the arrival of my wife. another name to mention on the bar is juan who we decided and convinced my wife's art teacher that he is a relative of the famous spanish artist sorolla !! he was such good fun. the hotel caters for couples, singles and family's. is a short stroll to the beach and shops, short taxi ride to the modern marina and designer shops. the food was excellent, more choice in main restaurant. but you can take the food into prestige dinning area. the all inclusive drinks package is excellent with top brand names like tanquary no 10. the rooms in privilege where also fantastic massive walk in shower good stocked mini bar filled daily. all the rooms look out to sea. best on the top floor for views. another great holiday at this hotel and will be coming back. kind regards to all the staff including all the nice polite cleaning staff who without this hotel could not operate. see you all again soon steve and ursula
“Amazing value for money”
Lovely hotel great location friendly staff
“Another fantastic holiday at the Iberostar Lanzarote!”
We visited in February which is winter season here. Temperatures average around 18°C and some days can be windy so it can feel a bit chilly although probably still warmer than many places in Europe at that time of the year. The hotel is located about 30-35 minutes from the airport by taxi. From the moment we arrived the front desk team made us feel very welcome. Check‑in was smooth and quick and we were lucky that our room was already ready so we could settle in and start enjoying the hotel right away. Room Our room was cleaned daily and the housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping everything spotless and tidy. The minibar is restocked every day with a couple of San Miguel beers, a small prosecco, iced tea, and 3–4 soft drinks. Each room also has a glass bottle you can refill at the water fountain next to the elevator. We had an ocean‑view room with a balcony on sunny days the view is stunning and you can even see Fuerteventura on the horizon. Restaurant The main restaurant is located on the ground floor and offers a buffet with a wide variety of options for all types of diets. Every day the chefs prepare steak, chicken, pork, fish, and shrimp on the spot and everything tastes fresh and delicious. At lunch drinks are self‑serve; at dinner the wait staff brings the drinks to your table. Tip: Go right when they open to avoid the queues during busy times. There is also a small outdoor restaurant that opens at lunchtime the food there has an extra charge drinks are included if you have the all inclusive. Sports Bar The sports bar opens from around 10am to 1am. The drinks are great quality and the staff is incredibly attentive honestly they could win a Guinness record for the fastest service. I never saw anyone wait more than 10 seconds before their drink was being prepared. There are several TV screens showing major sports events. Next to the bar is the theater where the evening shows take place at 9pm. Before the show there’s a mini‑disco, trivia and bingo. Make sure to bring a smart device as everything is done online. Pools The pools are very well maintained. This year the infinity pool was warmer compared to last year which was great since the weather was a bit chilly. It was busier this time so pool towels ran out occasionally if you see it’s crowded make sure you take care of your towel. There’s another pool area with water slides; the pool is heated and kids absolutely love it. Next to it there’s a food truck offering soft drinks, San Miguel, coffee, ice cream and small snacks like cookies and fruits and I believe they also serve sandwiches. There is also a pool exclusively for Prestige guests with a bar, terrace and sunbeds. Some days they have live music. It’s adults‑only so the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Entertainment The entertainment team runs activities for all guests around the pool area. There’s also a sports zone with beach volleyball, soccer and tennis courts plus ping‑pong and boccia. To borrow equipment just speak to the entertainment staff. The evening shows are enjoyable the magic show in particular was very entertaining. The kids’ club opens from 10:30–12:45 and 15:00–16:45 (if I remember correctly). Spa The spa offers a variety of wellness services including pedicures, manicures and several types of massages such as anti‑stress, deep tissue, and foot‑relax treatments and more. There is also an indoor pool available for an additional fee if I remember correctly it was around €20 for two hours for a family of five although I’m not 100% sure about the fee. Next to the spa you’ll find the gym equipped with both cardio and weight machines. It’s not huge but it has everything you need to keep up with your workouts while on holiday. Overall The hotel is kept very clean and tidy. The gardens always look beautiful the maintenance team does a fantastic job. I won’t mention individual names because I don’t want to leave anyone out but a huge thank you to the entire Iberostar Lanzarote team for their outstanding service. I highly recommend this hotel for your next holiday. Tip: Check the weather before you travel. I heard some people complaining that it was chilly in February (18°C) but of course the hotel can’t control the weather!
“Lovely hotel in a nice area”
Not usually our type of hotel but we were going away with friends and they wanted an all inclusive. This was a lovely hotel. The rooms were well appointed with a comfortable bed, hairdryer, large wardrobes, sofa with a well stocked mini bar. There was a Lovely patio leading out onto a grass area and pool and if we took a left heading out of the hotel there was a lovely walk into marina rubicon (roughly 35/40 minutes walk ) however playa dorado (I think this is what it was called) was about a 10/15 minute walk where there are restaurants, bars and shops. Staff are very friendly and very helpful and there is a bus service just outside the hotel. The All inclusive offered a good choice of food and drink however there were only 2 main buffet areas which could be very busy. There was Entertainment at night but this was more for families and we probably wouldn’t have gone anyway. There are numerous bar areas outside although when the weather isn’t great this is limited. Overall tho we had a great stay and would definitely go back and I think if you had children this would be a brilliant resort.
“Fabulous hotel”
Just returned from this great hotel, we arrived on the 18th march and the weather was horrendous! We’ve never been to Lanzarote before and was wondering if we’d made a mistake, no we didn’t within 24 hours the weather picked up and this hotel was absolutely brilliant, staff were spot on, food absolutely superb, and the short walk into town was really nice, we were in room 1106 which had a sea view and a large balcony with sun beds, we’ll be back sometime this year!
