“Not children friendly / not parent friendly / not friendly”

Staff were unhelpful and misleading. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told we couldn’t check in because children were not allowed in the room, or rather, because the rooms at this Ibis Hotel are so small, only two people are permitted per room. My confirmation clearly stated “all children welcome,” but that was not the case. We were refused check-in. At no point did the front desk staff—which eventually included three people, including the manager—offer any solution. I asked them to cancel our reservation, but they claimed I had to do it on Booking.com. I cancelled the booking, but was still charged the full amount, including breakfast, as a “no-show.” I made several attempts to contact the hotel for a refund or cancellation, but received no response.

The hotel staff were unhelpful and refused check-in due to their two-person room limit, despite my booking confirmation stating “all children welcome,” and I was still charged in full after being forced to cancel with no response to my refund requests. Not children friendly. To reach the hotel with a car is next to impossible (unless you know the town well and speak excellent Spanish to get help with directions).

Good location right in the centre - around the corner from local bars and restaurants (Calle del Laurel Street closeby) and within walking distance to a local winery for a lovely visit and tasting. Clean room, comfy beds and a good breakfast.

To be improved

Rooms were a bit small and very basic, but priced accordingly.
