“The best location-clean and attentive personal”
A small hotel , clean with good beds ,AC and a an old style fan . Within a walking distance of old Malaga but on a quiet street. There is even a pillow menu ! Will definitely recommend and hopefully come again
“Do not recommend”
I booked two rooms ( quadruple and a2 single beds room) for 3 adults and two children. I booked through booking.com. Price was 506.25 euros for one night including taxes. When we arrived to check in i was shocked they demanded a deposit of 100 euros which i wasn’t informed about before. Atmosphere was very poor. Location is in the centre. Quadruple room (001) was very small for a family of 2 adults and two children. There is only a big bed with a small bunk bed with no more room for anything else. It was in the basement with windows and blinds you cannot open, facing the street. The other room (004) wasn’t two single beds as i booked, it was double bed and it was small with a huge pillar(column) in the middle of the bathroom. Also it wasn’t clean i noticed a cockroach on the floor which I didn’t expect from an expensive hotel. Overall it was not a good experience and i would not recommend this hotel for a family or anyone unless you want to pay a lot to stay in a sardines can with no space to move.
“Good Hotel in Soho”
This was my second visit. A 5 night stay. The room was big and the bed and pillow quality was excellent. Public areas are also modern, bright and very well maintained. My only gripe was that for a Veggie, the breakfast was repetitive. Scrambled or cold boiled eggs became boring. Staff lovely.
“Excellent Location”
Great location Suites well appointed Staff super friendly
“Lovely hotel, great location and friendly and helpful staff.”
Lovely hotel, great location and friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. Nice touch with proper hairdryer, minibar and kettle with complimentary coffee and tea. The breakfast is very nice and of good quality. It is perhaps smaller compared to large hotels but a quite sufficient hot and cold selection to a high standard. The coffee is also very good. The location is perfect with city centre, harbor and Malagueta within walking distance. Also plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk. We have stayed here before and will certainly return when in Malaga.
“Thank You ICON Malabar!!!”
I stayed at ICON Malabar in Málaga from the 23rd–27th of February in room 010 during a last-minute trip I booked to celebrate my 40th birthday. I meant to write this review as soon as I returned to London, but I still wanted to share what a lovely experience I had. From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. I had booked my stay through Booking.com and selected a room with two beds, but unfortunately that room was not available until the following day. Maile at reception handled the situation wonderfully. She was incredibly kind, calm, and professional, and arranged for me to stay in a family room for the first night so that I would be comfortable. Her warm attitude and willingness to help really set the tone for my stay and made my birthday trip feel special. There was also another member of staff at reception – a very sweet young lady (petite, with a very friendly manner) whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch – who was also extremely helpful. She gave me perfect directions around Málaga and was always happy to help whenever I had questions about getting around the city. The hotel itself is beautiful. The moment you walk in there is a lovely scent in the reception area and the whole space is very aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. The rooms were spotless and I would also like to recognise the cleaning staff who clearly take great pride in their work. The location is fantastic. The hotel is surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants and cuisines, making it very easy to explore Málaga on foot. Everything I needed during my stay, the staff were always happy to help with and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. I originally thought the hotel was a small boutique property because it is so well maintained and personal. During my stay I learned it is actually part of the Petit Palace group, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall I had a wonderful stay and the kindness of the staff, especially Maile and the reception team, made my birthday trip even more memorable. Thank you to Maile and the whole team at ICON Malabar for such a lovely experience.
