Ilunion Almirante

Rooms were spacious! In a great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

On our recent booking with Thomas Cook travel agency, all our personal belongings were stolen from the Ilunion Almirante hotel cantine in the presence of hotel staff. Both the hotel and the agency denied liability and refused to cooperate and help. The hotel is Ilunion Almirante Barcelona, managed by mr Ivan. Both myself and my wife suffered traumas and a combined loss of over 20.000€. We will seek legal advice and press charges against both the Ilunion hotel and TC agency.

This is the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Stay away!! It’s dirty, moldy, and there are bugs in the rooms. The staff are friendly, but that doesn’t help when everything else is this bad. Many of the rooms smelled like smoke, and several were as small as prison cells. Do not go here!!

Arrived at 10 told check in was at 2 and they would have a very good room ready. Arrived back at 2-45 good room not ready . We were shattered had been awake 30 hours .So took another room, receptionist said it had not got a very good view, but were so tired we took the room. The view from the room was awful.The room was not very light . Bathroom was terrible for condensation , had to wipe condensation from hairdryer before use. The only place to plug kettle in was on the floor by the window. Breakfast was basically the same every day apart from a few tweaks. No jam or marmalade for toast and one day no butter by 9am . Asked if there was anymore told no . The location was very good clean and tidy .

Good location hotel, nice staff and polite and pleasant. Breakfast was great excellent. Hotel was clean but room was ridiculously small! I got the impression as we booked on lastminute.com that we were given the smallest room as a consequence. We were told as soon as we arrived that the room was small and Pablo on reception was very apologetic and said we could wait to see if another room became available later but then changed his mind and said they were fully booked and we couldn’t change, tough! We left after two nights, into a four night stay, at least they gave us the city tax back for the following two nights. Would not stay here again. And would not recommend unless you got a very cheap deal and were not bothered about staying in a very very small room. We booked a standard double but this was no way a normal standard double, it was much smaller and dated than the pictures online, hence the apology when we arrived to check in. The room and bathroom were in desperate need of updating.
