Ilunion Fuengirola

Great hotel for our requirements as a couple who have visited the Los Boliches area many times. Friendly staff and courteous cleaners. Room was perfect modern, clean, comfy beds & sea view. Great proximity to train station for excursions . Lots of very nice restuarants & bars to eat & drink in . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & good value for money .

Check in was efficient. Lobby and bar area very nice although some of the seating is not the most comfortable. The hotel is situated across from the beach so location is ideal. It is also dog friendly. The side sea view room was lovely. Cleaned every day. The breakfast selection was only ok. Only a choice of 2 cereals. Coffee not great either. Wi-Fi terrible in the bedroom.

Second stay at this hotel which is very convenient to visit nearby family. It’s always clean and comfortable. We never need to take the breakfast option - too many good eateries in the immediate vicinity offering excellent food. One main gripe is the WiFi. It is very unstable and having to continually re-boot a device became a pain. My wife had to undertake an online training course whilst we were here and connectivity was hopeless.

Am I allowed to say all mink coat no drawers!?! Outside looks great, bar/lounge area looks classy. Go to your room and have a Wot moment & realise why so many room-only deals here - because if we’d not got £500 off thru TUI I’d have walked out, however the other hotel we knew was being refurbed. Bedroom/bathroom like 1955 time warp - truly and utterly perplexed by downstairs/upstairs contrast. Low stone wall into bath? Tick. Feel unsafe climbing in for a shower? Tick. Bedding like a cheapo 1955 low grade hotel. Third night wondered why bath mat had tiny bits of black fluff on it whilst “admiring” how rough & cheap old bath towels could be in this grade hotel. Fourth night my slippers semi-slid under the sofa next to the bed - I put them on, went to bathroom sink to brush my teeth and realised the black fluff on the mat was from the BASE of my slippers! No hoover had been used, OBVIOUSLY, to hoover under the bed nor under the sofa. Lucky for us we were leaving to fly home because I realised once I moved the phone across the bedside table to use my big mirror that this table was full of dust caught under the phone AND its cable - d I s g u s t I n g. I felt the most unclean I have EVER felt even in my youth staying in 2/3 star hotels where we paid lowest of the low because we were 18 etc. We used to leave here each morning glad to get away from that place - bar/lounge? No soul no atmosphere no background music just boredom with a huge screen playing Ilunion hotels ads ON A LOOP! Bar staff? Ready? L o v e l y! They need to escape this hotel & be appreciated in a better place. I itch like mad thinking of that dreadful room - we even thought we might have to search in another resort for a hotel as the local ones were full but nearest one was Mijas pueblo, too far for us. Sorry management but for your own good you needed to know this opinion - I’m even SAD to write it because I wasted our money on Ilunion.

Staff members are friendly and the facilities were good. Do not know the reception lady’s name, but she had brown hair and glasses. She was a lovely lady.

The room had lovely views, you couldn't get a better location and the breakfast was great!
