“Extremely disappointing and unhygienic experience – avoid!”
I stayed in this apartment from June 8 to July 9. From the first day, I noticed strange bugs and insect eggs around the built-in wardrobes. Despite initially being told "not to worry," the infestation only got worse — bugs were soon crawling across the entire apartment: in the bedrooms, living room, bathroom, and even in our beds and clothes. I reported the problem multiple times, sent videos to the host, and contacted Booking.com. A pest control company only arrived on July 3 — nearly a month later — and treated just the wardrobes, even though I had sent clear video evidence showing the insects throughout the apartment. After the treatment, the situation got even worse. This seriously affected our mental well-being. We were sleeping with bugs crawling on us and waking up to sweep them off the floors. We felt like we were living in a contaminated space for an entire month. When we finally moved to a new apartment on July 9, we had to rewash everything from our suitcases out of fear we might bring the bugs back home. As a “compensation,” the host offered us a free parking spot — but parking is free everywhere in Arrecife, and I only had a rental car for 8 out of the 34 days I stayed there. This gesture felt completely disconnected from the seriousness of the situation. The apartment is also very dark, and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms cannot be turned off. For the price we paid (around €2000), this was absolutely unacceptable. Booking.com should take responsibility for the properties it promotes — this one did not meet even the most basic hygiene or health standards and completely ruined our holiday.
“Good size central of Arrecife, but unfortunately a lot of dirt”
Arrecife, the size of the flat, contact to the owner, the parking lot in a garage nearby (as long as you have a car smaller than a Golf and you like to circle through a narrow garage)
The apartment wasn't clean at all when we arrived. Our socks were black after 30min walking through the apartment (see the photo) and our 10month child started eating stuff like hair from the floor... we were cleaning the floor by ourselves, as we didn't want to wait for the cleaning stuff provided by the owner for the next day
“Superb”
Lovely clean and spacious apartment with everything you need, very easy to get to from the airport and everything is within a few min walking distance, shops, bars, beach etc lovely place in a lovely town.
“Still good, but it was better”
We stayed here 2 years ago, and now returned, because we had pretty good experiences. The biggest pro is the location, very close to the coast, and "downtown". The apartment is quite large, and has all the equipment you need for your stay.
This time our experience was just "ok" instead of good. Some parts of the apartment really need some renovation / replacement. The bathtub is rusty, the mattress in the bed is simply worn and sagging. Some tools in the kitchen looked dirty, but it was more of a "this stuff is too old" dirty, than actual dirt. I hope the owners - who seemed really kind people - will take care of these issues and make this place a 9/10 again.
“Good and pleasant stay”
Spacious apartment with all the facilities needed. Kitchen well-equipped. Very clean, great location, good contact with the host. Very good WiFi
Not easy to park a car near the apartment, but we found a big parking 10 mins away. The bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable. There was a washing machine in the building but we weren’t able to use it, as it wasn’t clean (there were wet and smelly rugs in it left). Other than that, all good, very pleasant stay.

Location. 8 minutes walk from beach. 3 minutes walk from Centro comercial and supermarket. 3 minutes walk from waterfront restaurants and bars. 4 minutes walk from pastelería for bread or breakfast. 15 minutes walk from bus station. 5 minutes walk from taxi stand. €15 taxi from airport.
