“Good location, pity about the room.”

Location is just off the square from the cathedral. Even though there is a restaurant literarily outside the room, when we closed the shutters, we could not hear anything. Great back garden to relax in or have a picnic lunch.

There were cobwebs in the room, a strange smell in the bathroom, the QR code provided for the WIFI did not work (we did work it out ourselves), and they said they provided slippers, which were missing, and were not provided when we asked about it. The room was also very hot, with only a pedestal fan. We could not leave the window open to cool it down, because of the aforementioned restaurant outside.

I was in apartment 1. Due to the strong odor of gas/oil and sewer in the apartment, I was not able to stay both nights. It comes from the bathroom. Keeping the bathroom door closed does not prevent the odor from enveloping the apartment. In addition, while notifying the owner and booking.com of the odor, a large insect ran across the bedroom wall behind the picture. With no response from the owner or resolution from booking.com, yet, I had to find another place to stay.

As we walked into the Praza do Obradoiro and gazed up at the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, there was something quite amazing after walking 120km to gaze across the square and see our accomodation at Inferniño Apartments. The location alone warrants booking, but the Superior One-Bedroom Apartment (that looked directly out at the Cathedral) was perfect. Checho was a wonderful, welcoming host who offered lots of greats tips and recommendations for our stay in Santiago (and we were hugely grateful for an early check-in). Washing machine/dryer- huge bonus post Camino. Apartment was very spacious for 3 adults ( 1 double bed and 1 single bed). Great bathroom and kitchenette. It was a quiet and peaceful oasis at night. We will 100% be back!
