“Different looking style of Hotel but well worth the stay.”

Just a quick stopover on way to Santander ferry home to UK. Never visited Alcazar San Juan, very pleasant town, although lots shut at 2pm. Hotel well worth the money, breakfast buffet was amazing. Plenty of car parking. 20 minute walk into town centre.

The first impression was good. The decor was great.

To be improved

The only place to eat in the evening was outside on the grass. Our chairs kept sinking in ma king it difficult to move around. The music around the pool was too loud and not conducive to a relaxing mood. 50% of the lifts were out of order. A quick breakfast wasn’t easy to organise. No complimentary bottles of water in the room.

To be improved

The wellness area is tired and needs an overhaul. The hotel pool is used for non guests as well as guests. Parts of the hotel could be modernised.

“Could do with some TLC”

Lots of parking directly outside the hotel. The reception hall had a lovely airy feel with lots of little sitting areas. Nice big outside pool. The room had plenty of storage.

To be improved

Generally, it felt as though the hotel needed some TLC. We had difficulty locking the door to the room, which turned out to be loose beading, which was stuck. My partner managed to fix it. The room had two big areas of damage to the ceiling (one in the bedroom, the other in the bathroom) which looked like leaks from above. My towel, although washed, had makeup marks on it. WiFi was very on and off. The bar near the pool was rather uninviting as all the tables and chairs were stacked up. It looked as though we'd have to get our own seating. There also appeared to be only 2 types of drink on offer. There were 2 events going on, and it seemed a bit difficult for the receptionist to book us a table for dinner (there wasn't anything else in the town). We managed to have dinner there, but it was a limited menu and the staff were pretty busy.
