Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
Outstanding service from restaurant manager and entertainment staff.
Great location right on a sandy beach, but difficult to get around.
Good amenities for families, including pools and play areas.
Overall a lovely week despite a few issues.
Rooms kept very clean but mentioned small size.
Food was good for all-inclusive, but limited variety and often cold.
“Great Stay”
Overall good stay, visited for 3 nights. Weather incredible so makes the short stay worth while. Accommodation Hotel is split over a number of accommodation blocks / areas I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues as a lot of up hill walking, there are ramps etc but very steep and some of the accommodation is a bit far away from the main bars / reception / restaurant etc. We stayed in the main block where reception is and was very happy with that area. Cleaners are great the place is so clean and tidy. Staff very helpful at reception, helped at check in & later on for booking buses to local places and for ordering cold breakfast for early check out. Pools, Activities & Entertainment On arrival we were given a map which said flow rider much to the excitement of my son to just be disappointed when we headed up to that area that it was still being constructed. And to his next disappointment it was being built on the Basketball courts which he had spotted on the photos on booking site. Lots of tennis courts for booking. Pools although very cold (due to visiting mid April) were great entertainment for my son. Indoor pool was also popular by young families. Pirate Island seemed great had a look around and if son was younger definitely would have spent more time there. We can’t comment on the entertainment during the day or night as we didn’t use but they seemed popular. Son made use of pool and table tennis tables. We hired kayaks and paddle board direct from beach for €7.50 each for an hour. You can also book lessons / trips with them from the little shop over the road from reception. Bus Trips We took the hotel bus to Las Dalia’s Famous Hippy Market for €5 each return… we were two adults and an 11 year old…. It has 100s and I mean 100s of stalls so great for wandering / browsing and loads of great things to buy if you are looking for something in particular. But was extremely busy, which my son didn’t like and to be honest we had finished looking around within an hour. We walked along the road for 2min for a drink at a local bar and then headed back in to the market as son wanted some pizza from one of the food outlets. The main food outlets and drinks weren’t fully open when we arrived. For the bus trips you seem to get 3 hours. We got the 10:30 bus there and were due to get the 1:30pm bus back but jumped on the 12:45 as wasn’t full we couldn’t have spent 3 hours there. We also did a trip to Santa Eulalia again for $5 each return. We left at the same time 10:30 and this time after exploring and a spot of food we struggled to make it back to the bus for the return time of 1:30 but we wanted to make sure we did as had other plans that afternoon. Definitely could have stayed longer and had time on the beach etc. Hotel Reception had said to use if we wanted to get the later bus back to just say to the driver as it wasn’t full. Restaurants & Bars Most amazing view from Restaurant… especially if you are able to walk along early enough for sun rise which we did on our last morning or early check out breakfast. Staff and lovely, pleasant and helpful. Wide range of food which changed each day. Only thing is I think they could have had signs / labels telling you want each dish was as it was often hard to tell. I also think a drinks menu of what was available to all inclusive guests would have been helpful rather than having to ask all the time. Son enjoyed the free ice cream from the pool bar.
“Second visit and not disappointed”
We were there for a week from 3rd April , this was our second time there snd we were not disappointed, really lovely clean hotel complex with good choice of pools and bars , access to the beach , excellent entertainment if you want also , food was great and always choices available, staff all very pleasant and helpful and we recognised some staff from 2 years ago too , will definitely return, absolutely nothing to complain about
“Pleasantly surprised!”
Firstly, I must say I agree with a lot of other reviewers regarding TUI bookings! It is a bit cheeky that you essentially don't know which hotel you get till you get to the resort despite the booking page only showing the link to Cala Verde! Despite this, we arrived at Cala Blanca with little to no expectations. Greeted by the lovely Inez who checked us in and gave us two sea view rooms near the restaurant/pool, it was a great start although check in took quite a while (others also had the same complaint). The rooms were clean and spacious, lots of storage space, good bathroom set up, shower was a good pressure and the mirror was close to put my lenses in! Bathroom has a hairdryer which was okay, not very powerful but did the job. TV had two channels in English, BBC1 and Channel 4 (which never seemed to work). The sofa bed is comfortable enough and there are lots of plug outlets for charging devices. Small fridge had some drinks provided and water as well as a kettle with two mugs and tea selections. View was lovely and if I was to return I would ask for the same rooms/block (1103/1104) as we felt it was in the best location. The resort is huge and fairly hilly so take this into consideration when booking. There is a sports centre on site with tennis and padel available, then all the pools, gym and indoor pool. There is a small arcade bit which is good value for a euro for each game and a ping pong table and pool table near the stage area. You can walk to Cala Verde but we got the impression from their guests that there wasn't much to do there. The staff were all lovely and all work extremely hard. The restaurant and cafe staff especially, always busy and always serving with a smile. Bilal at the cafe was great at explaining what was included in All Inc on the first day. The chefs were all lovely too and always answered my queries as well as they could. Pier at the restaurant was also always lovely and made an effort with the little one. The entertainment staff are clearly all extroverts because wow do they have energy!! Great with kids, got people involved, kept the activities going throughout the day and I hope some of those lads got paid extra for how tight some of their costume trousers were.... The pool area was clean but the pools were freezing so this could be somewhere they could improve by heating them a bit. That said the pools were busy most of the time. I like that they have a strict sunbed policy regarding towels. We never struggled to find beds at any point of the day. The beach the hotel has access too is genuinely stunning, soft sand, clear and calm water and you can walk out quite far! We couldn't see any sunbeds for the beach but it could be as it's not quite the high season. Now for the important bits, food and drinks! Food: very impressed and unsure what other reviewers are saying in regards to variety. There was loads!! I am a vegetarian and try to avoid dairy and had loads of options for me. At breakfast there were several baked goods, pasties, fresh churros, pancakes, savoury items like eggs, sausages, mushrooms, beans and hash browns plus a whole section of breads, jams, yogurts, fruit, cheese, ham, cereals and granola. Plus every milk you could think of: cows milk, soy, almond and oat, amazing. Coffee is from a machine but it was fine and the juices also were nice enough from a machine. Lunch and dinner always had a massive variety of salads, cheeses, hams and always had paella plus loads of different options like fresh fish, fresh pasta etc Dinner each evening had a different theme; American, tex mex, Spanish, Italian, Oriental etc and again I never struggled to find something to try. Drinks in the restaurant were self serve soft drinks and then there was a bar for wine etc. By the pool, there was a bar/cafe which you went to go and get your drinks/ice cream. Soft drinks were Fanta lemon and orange, coke, coke zero and spite, as well as two non alcoholic mocktails and then there were lots of cocktails Inc as well as beers, ciders, wine etc. Hot drinks were also available as well as iced coffee (could be made with oat or soy milk too) all made with actual espresso which is fantastic!! Ice creams included were mini twisters, tubs of ice cream, a choc ice style thing and an ice lolly called a piggelin. Plentiful and nice enough. All in all we really enjoyed the hotel and while it's not luxury, it's a family hotel and that's where it excels. I will note that there isn't much to do in the vicinity although the hotel offers bus journeys to the hippy market and other shopping places. There are also local buses you can take to explore the island. We had crappy weather for two days which really puts the location into perspective as we were essentially trapped in the hotel. So when the weather is beautiful, it's a great place to be, especially for families w kids. When the weather turns, it can seem a little claustrophobic. Also be careful when it's wet as the tiles can get slippy, I slipped and badly hurt my arm just walking to breakfast. We would come again and would recommend :) solid 4/5
“Highley recommend!”
Location - Great! Not much around, a cute bar to have nice food and drinks just up the road. A couple of little shops. The hotel has its own access to the beach. Daily buses to near by towns and markets Great atmosphere, spent our time in the adult only area as we had no kids with us. Other pools with families looked fun! We had a Seaview double room. Basic room, however free access to safe, well maintained and kept very clean during our stay! We traveled with jet2 and definitely had value for our money. The food was amazing! Something different each meal time! Variety of meats and dishes enough for everyone and well stocked! All staff were friendly, and helpful. There is a small gym, this has different types of equipment, the best gym I have used at a hotel for the variety of equipment. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely return!
“Avoid if possible”
We stayed here for just a last minute cheap and cheerful Easter weekend 3 night break and all I can say is I’m glad it was only 3 nights. Whilst we didn’t have high expectations for it, it didn’t meet the lowest of expectations. None of the pools are heated, including the indoor one and jacuzzi so unless you want to catch hypothermia you can’t go for a dip in the pool. The pools are not regularly cleaned as they are filthy and have all sorts floating on top. The bath in our room the plug didn’t fit properly so wouldn’t fill up and water pressure of the shower was nothing like I’d seen before, my daughter could have dribbled more then the water that came out the shower. The food was diabolical. I think the same cake and fruit must of came out for breakfast, dinner & tea it was that dry. The breads you could tell were all frozen. Half of the food didn’t have labels to tell you what they were, the kitchen staff didn’t speak English and when you found someone who spoke a little English they weren’t sure what it was so if you had allergies you’d be buggered. We ate out for dinner on 2 days and tea on 1 as we just couldn’t stomach the food. I’d highly recommend Feel Ibiza 2 minutes away for food, Ohana in the marina close by and Zazú over in main Ibiza town for food. The gym (room with a few weights, treadmill & bike) was due to open 9am each day which I feel is late anyway however one morning 9.10 I walked down to reception to ask when it would be opened after 3 calls she advised someone was on the way to unlock the door and I waited until 9.50 to gain access, whilst it sounds petty you’d think unlocking a door wouldn’t take this long. My daughters 4 and one of the entertainment team kept asking her for a hug which she ran away each time and he still continued to ask which made me feel uncomfortable let alone my daughter. All in all I would not return.
“A great holiday but with a few niggles”
It was a great holiday but with a few niggles, great location albeit very difficult to get out and about, there is hotel bus (payable) but was always full and no public transport. Taking into account this was the last week of the season there was not a great selection of food and was often cold, something other reviewers have commented on. We were sold the fact we could use the facilities of their sister hotel Verde but in reality we found it difficult because the hotel was being used by a Yoga convention and although we tried every day to secure a dinner reservation we failed even on their last night. The hotel was right on a sandy beach and the grandkids loved swimming and snorkelling. Big shout out to the hotel and entertainment staff for the effort they put in for Halloween (two night there), just brilliant.
