The host, Fernanda went out of her way to rectify our problems. She changed our room for something smaller with a bigger window.

To be improved

On arrival the apartment smelled like a sewer, a disgusting drain smell throughout the studio. The window was small and opened into a dark light well. The property opposite was under renovation and our window looked onto this. In the photos it showed a double bed and a sofa bed which allegedly slept 4 people. We assumed it had a seperate bedroom with a sofa bed in another room to accomodate four adults. It was sold as a deluxe room but in fact it should have been sold as a family room. Not very well represented.

The property was really lovely. In a lovely area. The wifi was good. It was everything we wanted but the admin required was over the top for a one night stay/fun trip.

To be improved

I didn't understand when I booked that £95 would be taken from my bank and then an additional £165 as a 'deposit'. Had this been obvious at booking I would not have booked. Post booking I read a lot of scary reviews elsewhere and was very concerned. Post paying on this website I was then inundated with emails, majority in Spanish containing links and rules and regulations. It was hard to follow and things can easily be missed. Not something I've experienced elsewhere. Upon leaving I made sure I filmed the property to ensure I there was no claims against my deposit. Other small things; the staff are not particularly friendly (not unfriendly but not friendly). It was a holiday for us so this was a bit of a shame. Check in is relatively late compared to everywhere else and there's nowhere to leave bags for free pre-check in. I received the door code by WhatsApp just before 3pm check in time. Presumably the company are trying to encourage you to pay for the early check in option if you arrive earlier than 3pm. Perhaps this system will be simplified in future. The actual place is lovely.

“Excellent accommodation for a couple”
The best

Loved everything about the stay. The accommodation was convenient for us arriving on a train, leaving on a bus, and exploring the whole headland of Cadiz in a day. Easy walking distance to everything that was ‘must see’!
