Lighting rather too bright, a low-lighting option would be good. The Nespresso coffee machine did produce good coffee but it was fiddly to get the pods correctly into the machine (mostly they didn’t drop down to the right position), we did often wish we had a cafetière or filter coffee machine. A microwave oven would be useful, also an ice-tray in the freezer. There were a few maintenance issues; the blind slats were not adjustable on one blind as the control rod was, the digital readout on the hob was missing part of the numerals, the shower fitting is a bit loose on the wall. (We had a flood from the over-flowing washing machine but this was dealt with promptly by the hosts.) As other people have noted, sound-proofing is not good for the plumbing of the building so that sounds of showers etc were often heard, but we didn’t personally find it too disturbing.
