“An interesting stay in an historic building, close to the main square”

This is our third stay at this hotel over the last 12 years and nothing seems to have really changed. We managed to park on the road outside the hotel. It seems that cars come and go regularly so it's worth sitting for 5-10 minutes to see if you can get a spot. The reception was very friendly and the room and bathroom were good. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the towels were good quality and fluffy. The aircon was not the best we had during our 17-day trip but there was a heatwave so we can make allowances! They serve very good food across the road at the 2* hostal.

To be improved

The hotel just feels like it needs some TLC. I remember it having an inviting atmosphere on previous visits but it seemed a little drab and austere this time, which is a pity.

Room very small. Two beds fitted together to make a double and uncomfortable.

Scant bar facility after a long journey. Cafe and restaurant very short opening hours.

“Hotel close to plaza major”

The best

Centrally located close to plaza major. Beds comfortable but furniture is dated and so is the bathroom. We had room 139 and in the hallways to that room there was really old looking carpet. Inside the room it was laminate so that was better. Tiny pool.

To be improved

Had a drink in the courtyard around 10 and they had only one lady working there while the hotel was full so she was a bit too busy. Had to ask several times before we got a drink. Hotel should have more staff working there when it’s that busy.

“Conveniently located for exploring the old town.”

A nice old building with an internal courtyard r(oofed over). Free street parking right outside. Pleasant and helpful staff.

To be improved

The TV in my room (119) could only be watched from the bed, because it is in a cabinet with doors that don’t go to the side.
