“We enjoyed our first stay with Monaro Apartments and would be asking for other apartments they have for our next stay in”

The best

Instructions to get to the property was very good. The property was large and clean. It had air conditioning and good climate control.The response from the management was quick and effective. We were informed of the extra payment to the management beforehand. The location was fantastic and Sol and Gran via metro stations were very near. There were lots of restaurants nearby and also supermarkets.

To be improved

We were not aware there was no lift to the second floor flat where we stayed and we had to struggle to get our luggage into the flat. However the management were kind enough to get someone to take our luggage to the ground floor when we were leaving and the management also offered us a place where we could leave our luggage until it was time to go to the airport later in the early evening. The WiFi was strong enough for our mobile phones and laptops but not for the television which froze many times. When management was told, there was a quick response but unfortunately the television worked briefly and then was back to its old ways. We were out most of the time but would have loved the television to work properly when we were indoors

“Nice apartment, VERY noisy area”

The apartment itself is very spacious, clean, two nice bathrooms, and all the utilities you would need.

To be improved

The apartment is on the third floor of an old building with no elevator. It is right next to a construction sight, a police station and a very busy area. We had to rent it at the last minute after our flight was cancelled and on a busy Saturday night, we barely slept from all the police sirens going off, bottles being smashed, people yelling and screaming. In the morning when we were waiting for our taxi at 7am, people were still drinking, screaming, being drunk and paying for companionship right outside our apartment building. Also, after we paid a very expensive rate for the night, a woman from the rental company knocked on our door, right after we entered the apartment, to say we also had to pay a 12 euro per person resort fee and a 300 euro security deposit to clean. We did get the 300 euro refunded the next day but the whole experience was very awkward and expensive. Would not stay again.

To be improved

It is too noisy, as if you live on the street. We couldn’t sleep for 4 nights although we bought ear plugs & used them. Still it was noisy. Police station right across the apartment.

The host company replied on my request very promptly thru whatsapp. The place is the same as the picture, well equipped and clean.

To be improved

The house is in the middle of tourist area between Sol and Gran Via stations and there is a police station nearby. So weekend is very noisy all night even untill morning. Also the building is old, the house is well renovated but no elevator.
