“Great will stay again”
Quiet. Good location. Attention to detail . Very helpful staff.
No much. I think ordering food was a little slow as the main waitress had given on a break
“A potentially quiet location near the motorway.”
The location was good and the room, whilst a little rustic, was comfortable.
A confirmation party was taking place so we were unable to sit in the garden (we were told the party were using it). We had to eat dinner in the bar area and there were children running around everywhere. It was also very noisy. On any other day it would have been a charming stopover but we felt as though we were intruding on a family gathering rather than paying guests at a four star hotel. It was just unfortunate that we chose the wrong day to stay.
“The room was big and reasonably well equipped, and was comfortable · Cons: We found the hotel easily but were unable to reach it at the top of the hill as some of the roads were blocked off. I spent over an hour trying to find a way to drive there, and in the end walked up the steep steps - about the height of a 2 storey house - to ask for help. The man I spoke to wasn't at all helpful about it - he pointed out a place at the bottom of the steps for me to park in, but it wasn't a parking space at all, and didn't offer any help, so I had to leave the car even further away. My 94 year old mother and I had to struggle up the steps as we carried our luggage. Having reached the top, the same person did our booking-in, which took ages, partly because he stopped to deal with another customer halfway through, and he kept having to get help for the computer. Our room was a long way from the front of the hotel, and again no help was offered, although by that time we were both exhausted. This was the first night of our trip and didn't feel like a good start. Some consideration would have gone a long way.”
