“Excellent location and good value”

Ideal location for us as we like to be close to the old city centre / Plaza de la Merced. We had the quadruple apartment at the back - no view but very quiet / not yet fully finished but adequate. Air conditioning worked well. Communal area - we did not use it but could see it had facilities to make tea/coffee, with fridge and microwave. Fantastic host - attentive and prompt replies - one morning the lift was not working and within minutes of contacting the host, it was all sorted. We also asked if there were softer pillows and we were provided with some. Overall very good value for money.

To be improved

We like firm mattresses but not hard pillows - but as indicated, the pillow issue was sorted.

Joaquin is a friendly host, it was a pleasure to interact with him, provided detailed instructions for check in, plus recommended places to eat, right in the city center. Accommodation is awesome, near everything by foot. Towels available for the beach; just everything you would need :) perfect.

“Room with private bath in shared apartment is in a great location and was very comfortable”

The best

(1) Great location, only steps from historical sites, restaurants, shopping area, park, a supermarket, and bus stop. (2) Clean and neat. (3) HVAC worked well and was easy to adjust. (4) Would be a nice sized room for two people. The room would be very cozy for four people with luggage.

To be improved

(1) Listing was unclear as to the fact that you are renting a lockout ROOM with an ensuite bathroom. Kitchen is 'shared' and there is a second bedroom. Kitchen had a nice empty refrigerator. When booking, I thought the reference to the "room" in the listing was a language or translation error. (2) Unlocking instructions did not state to turn knob to the LEFT, so I could not get knob to work. Host was in touch on WhatsApp, so that problem was quickly resolved. (3) There is not much room for open luggage in the space due to the two full beds and a large round table taking up most floor space. (4) A small lamp on side table or wall near bed would be nice. Choice for lighting was limited to fully ON or OFF (overhead lights) when lounging in bed.
