We had bathroom leaking when checked in..we were moved around without being paid for the taxi and hassles we had to go through..We moved back next day..we then had washing machine leaking..no compensation paid for any hassles we had to go through..

DO NOT STAY HERE. This apartment advertised that they have air conditioning and wifi. There was NO AIR CONDITIONER in the apartment in Madrid in 94 degree heat during the first week of June. The wifi was also not working the first night we were there. The apartment was hotter inside than outside. We notified them at 5pm within minutes of check in and we got the run around for hours because there are a few owners/apartment people dealing with things. They were all very unresponsive and kept lying and said that the air conditioner was taken for repairs and that someone wasn’t able to bring it back the day we got there. Their apartment person, Jace left a voicemail message saying the air conditioner wouldn’t be fixed until Monday (and we left on Sunday). The owner Luis said they would refund our first night’s stay but only approved a refund 75€ of the 120 per night. And then said they would bring an air conditioner the next day. The wifi was fixed the next day. However, they brought a FAN at 5pm the next day but it had been 94 degrees all day again. The place was uninhabitable as you can not sleep or sit in an apartment that HOT in summer without air conditioning. We specifically booked this place because it advertised that it had air conditioning. If you open the windows there is no breeze because it’s a bajo (ground floor) apartment. It is also not safe to leave the windows open all night. It is not a very safe neighborhood. The apartment is VERY LOUD as there is a barber shop with guys sitting with their window open watching you come and go (not safe for women, or really anyone). On the other side, there is a bar next door contributing to the noise. Half of our weekend trip to Madrid was dealt with trying to communicate with the owners to get some help as we were sweating in this apartment. We ended up staying elsewhere and had to move to a hotel at 11pm on the first night because they were so unresponsive. Booking.
