The best

There are only 2 positive points I can make. The location and the size of the apartment. We stayed the previous 2 nights in an apartment in Cartagena. A little smaller but around the same price. I was very happy, as I prefer to do, in giving a 10 out 10 review. Unfortunately, the same won't be said for this apartment.

To be improved

It was obvious to me that this was a house that has been split into 3 apartments. Not that professionally. The stairs up to the apartment are not safe. I have attached photos of the issues I found. The apartment door was a glazed internal door with only a small lock. Both, this and the main street door are lacking in security. Walking through the door you can see where the house was split as part of the original archway is still sticking out. I'm 1.82m tall and had to be very careful not to hit my head. The decor is in very poor condition. Mismatched paintwork from the conversion, damaged and dirty paintwork in all the rooms. Many screw holes in the walls from removed shelving, curtain poles, etc. Cleanliness was also an issue. Kitchen cupboards, fridge and microwave all need cleaning. The little there was little in the way of pots and pans which need renewing and had to be washed before use, as did everything else we used in the kitchen. There was an iron but no ironing board. A bit tricky as we there for a wedding! The electrical system gave us concern. Some sockets were unusable, others have been extended badly. The main prize goes to the bathroom. Obviously the bath had been removed at some point and replaced by a tiny shower unit. The plastic shower door was damaged and came apart in our hands. The shower hose is old and damaged. The shower head is not adjustable. Difficult unless you want to wash your hair every time. The was no shelf in the shower, so soap etc had to go on the floor. Almost impossible to pick up in a 70cm x 70cm shower, When you I did finally get down there I turned the shower off or put it on cold. This is obviously thanks to the plumber who was too lazy to extend the pipes after removing the bath. Can I add, the bathroom is a reasonable size and would easily accommodate a larger shower area. It's apparent the the owner is in this just to make a quick buck and has no attention to detail for his clients.

The apartment was clean and comfortable, the location couldn't be any better, beach a minute walk, the strip or plaza, was about five minutes walk, supermarkets close by, Overall a very good choice, Pepe was very helpful

To be improved

No English channel on the TV 😂🤣😅 and no WiFi but to be honest they weren't missed too much

Has yet another great stay here, the apartment is clean and has everything needed for a short stay. Better still the location is within an easy walk of the beach, promenade and plenty of restaurants and shops. The host is knowledgeable of the local environment and very friendly and helpful. Will be booking again.

Everything you will need, we had been very pleased with the property and its facilities. The location works very well with easy access to the beach and only a short walk to shops, bars, etc. Better plenty of parking and lovely and quiet of an evening.
