Beds, sofas, showers, towels , toilets- all are very basic.

The arrangement for key collection was ridiculous. The round trip from the train station cost us 23.55€ as opposed to a 9€ fare from the apartment to the train station. The apartment looked very tired. Furniture was old, worn and damaged as shown in attached images. The kitchen was poorly equipped. Only one shelf in the icy refrigerator, dented old rubbish bins and limited crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. The bedding left a lot to be desired. Most of the beds only had a bottom sheet, top sheet and very thin throw. My bed had no top sheet with a small piece of fabric which didn’t even cover my uncomfortable single bed. We had one small pillow each. The beds were of basic quality. We were six guests, four of us over the age of 65 and were cold during the night. When we contacted the company, asking for more blankets we were told that they did not have any more blankets to give us and the controlled temperature in the apartment should be more than comfortable for us. It was not . We were cold at night. We would have expected to have duvets on the beds, it was mid March after all. No effort was made to address our complaint. We were cold !! The shower room smelt of dirty drains, had a dented old bin and a very old and noisy pump under the sink. Dirty all books were left on the shelf of an old desk along with a filthy old instruction sheet with threatening warnings about loss of deposit should we make any noise after 10pm. One of the group, a 61 yr old lady was alone in the apartment until we returned at 0130am. Before our return she received an unpleasant warning by text telling her that neighbours had made a complaint about the noise in our apartment. She was very distressed when we returned as she had been home alone, reading quietly in her bed. We think this could have been a ploy to retain our deposit. We paid quite a lot extra for two additional guests, 221.28€, but were only provided with two sets of keys which proved to be a logistical nightmare.
